I'm not a fan of BioWare's ending. I think that it seemed rushed, ill concieved, and badly in need of proofreading.

But goddammit I enjoyed the **** out of ME3 until 5 minutes to the end. The game was so good that what would normally be considered a monumentally awesome climax in most other modern games looked like a flop. I think there's something to be said about that.

I'm tired of seeing people rage about how they're never going to get another Mass Effect game, or how the rest of the game, or even the series was bad by association to that ending.

It would be truly awesome if the ending gets retconned, but I think the chances are slim at best.

Even if the endings remain cannon, I will still treasure ME3 as one of the best game's I've ever played.

This is Mass Effect! What the hell do you think it is?!

Honestly, I can see why people are currently not getting any more ME games. Any prequel will be boring, you know that the universe is kinda screwed.

I am not a "Jesus people" nor do I need to get a grip. In fact, I have a very firm grip on reality which is how I, along with many others, am able to deduce the endings are garbage.

Personally had only issues with the Normandy being somewhere randomly and not being able to save the mass relays. Other then that, it was a great experience and I would play it again. Just I would love more variety in the endings, if they decided to do such.

Any reason why you're avoiding the question on how the endings are original when compared to the Matrix, Battlestar, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution?

Although the endings, especially the ending I chose (Synthesis) didn't make a whole lot of sense... the mechanics of it moved me in a way. Having heard a little about the endings beforehand up until the point where I had to make the choice I was considering just choosing the ending where Shepard lives. This is my Shepard after all, I'm very attached to her.

But, in the end, after all was said and done, it became more important to me to do what was true to my Shepard's character than to make sure she lives. She respected EDI and Legion's individuality and right to live, she made peace between the Quarians and Geth, she got the whole galaxy working together and would have wanted to keep it that way. So I chose Synthesis. And before the fridge logic of the plotholes hit me, I felt really proud of my character, proud to have played as her all this time and bring her to this point. I think that's a positive emotional response. And it's an emotional response that only a video game could accomplish.

Though, since I wasn't done collecting war assets before I stumbled into the ending I'm probably gonna go back and do it again sometime and I'll probably choose Control, because I can't get over the universe having robotic DNA. That's just... dumb.

You're annoyed because people are standing up for what they believe Mass Effect 3 should have been? If we roll over and just accept the game for what it is (ending included) then Bioware will never ignore us and the possibility for change becomes 0. I'm not giving up or forgetting.

Why is it lazy, it was established a long time ago that Quarians are very human like.

If they had been leadinmg up to the endings that would have been one thing but they didn't. it was going towards and epic confrintation ad then all of a sudden switched tunes. Plus, leaving the normandy stranded? Eh no.

mainly because its different and not like every story out there where the hero always wins

From this thread, though I wouldn't be surprised if you edited it. I think you also made a similar remark using the word original. I can find that if you'd like, barring an edit.

It's not my intent to provoke, but see it my way: you take a contradictory stance in a discussion thread and don't feel any need to expand on it? Just saying it to get people angry?

I get it. You liked the endings. I'm sorry you fail to comprehend why people even might be upset about it. It's called empathy.

The game was awsome, the endings could have been done better, and another one where shepard and Ashley were together could have been added. But othervise even endings are epic and unique to the game. Good job Bioware.

I believe the game should be like this Bioware, you have to listen to me because It's what I believe!

lol, he doesn't mean "Jesus people" he means people. He only used the word Jesus because it's a somewhat common way to imply the word "seriously".

plenty of people are saying that they loved the whole game intill the end.

and im one of those people. We dont need a "grip"

and yes, i would NOT buy another mass effect game without those endings retconed.

ME3 is still a great game, the story that was inside was the greatest of all 3 games. the ending is different, i can retcon the ending in my own mind. ANOTHER MASS EFFECT GAME however, i will be staying away from.

because they used a picture off the net instead of beaing creative about it. also the hands are nothing like the quarians hands in the game. not to mention the really bright flare behind it hoping we wouldnt notice how lame it was ?

Regardless -it's a 10min photoshop of a stock image. You'd think they would put a bit of work into a big reveal like that and not half-ass it the way they did.

The entire series was billed as your choices mattering, it was like the biggest selling point. did you know you can now go back through ME1 and ME2 making choices at complete random and you'll get the same ending as anyone else.
The end of ME3 rendered all choice through out the entire series completely pointless, thats pretty god damn huge.

Yes. Yes they are garbage. And the game should have started at Shepard's tribunal. And I hear the Tali picture was kinda crap.

I never said otherwise, but apparantly I need to add a tl;dr for my 8 line OP.

It doesn't change the really awesome parts of the game, like Mordin, Legion, or the whole rest of the ending up until the last 5 minutes.

@AxisEvolve: I AM sticking up for what the game should have been. I'm peeved at the people who are being immensely immature about it because they hurt our chances if there are any chances at all.

Mass Effect 3 was literally the best game I've ever played. Up until the T-minus 10 minute mark. I totally agree with what you're saying, but the whole experience was marred for me by that ending. Everything leading up to that point was SO good, SO thoughtful and well conceived.

So why didn't that carry all the way through when it mattered most?
