I don't like the War Assets magically teleporting the squadmates to the Normandy thing. If anything, I guess it should show them still on Earth, hurt, unconscious but breathing if they wanted the War Assets to keep them alive. Explains why they didn't follow Shepard up and why they didn't even try. I don't buy that the people willing to follow Shepard to the end of everything would just get the hell out of dodge when Shepard went up the beam. Much less that Joker somehow came down to pick them up and ran away from Earth. It's just baffling.

^This.
Garrus was with me in the final run to the beam, yet he showed up in the end scenes exiting the Normandy.

I was like, "seriously? How'd you get up there, I wasn't knocked out that long pre/post-beam, if I was I'd bled to death already..."

ME3's endings are weird.

Aside from that I just don't believe that any of the characters on your squad would leave at that point. I wholeheartedly believe they would all stay until the end, for better or worse. It is just mind boggling that any of them would leave at any point.

I suppose it's to make the player feel better (hey look your buddies lived!) but in the end it just is another bizarre decsion that raises a lot of easily avoided questions.
