I'd like to note that I found a thread here for the PC verson of this game having the same problem (http://social.biowar...99567/1#9702397).  

For some reason, certain loads (seems to be tied to autosaves but not sure) wipe out whatever credits and other counts on the character.  Multiple times I've left on a mission with credits and come back only to find out that I have exactly the amount of credits from the mission reward,  no more, no less, as if I had zero before being awarded them.
