For two days i've been sitting here trying to raionalize why the game ended the way it did, but i cant. It was the most upsetting and depressing ending ever. I could actually deal with the ending if there was a way to get a happy ending, one involving your LI, and closure for the rest of the characters. What we got was horrid. I have religiously played through the first two games dozens of times. All throughout mass effect 3 i was raving on how its the best game ive ever played period, and im an avid gamer. I was so excited to see my ending with my LI (jack, my fav character in the game by the way, good job on that one) and getting the closure to the best game trilogy ever. Instead i sat in silence after the ending thinking (........what just happened?...........) I understand that this is supposed to be the end of shepards story, but it does NOT have to end that way. 3 choices, all completely terrible. all the work i put in to customize my imported saves from the previous games gone to waste. My interest in the closure in the LI subplot, destroyed. I cant even import my other saves with different decisions knowing how this ends. Please give us a DLC for alternate endings. So we can have your ending and the ones alot of the fans want. It wont have a problem selling, ive read thousands upon thousands of complaints about the ending on the forums here and all over the internet. The beauty of this trilogy shows that your very capable of amazing things in games and capable of making smart decisions. So do the smart thing, give us a happy ending, please......
Im sorry bioware, but i cant be quiet anymore. On the Ending

Agreed! The fact is that you can never rationalize the last chapter even with a minimal level of logic.

even patching in an ending similar to what dragon age origins had where it just brings up text and tells you what happened next would be better, did the krogans rebel again? did quarian/geth peace last? mass effect 3 was supposed to give us answers, all we got was questions.

You've found friends, dear chap, do not feel you have to hide your opinion. We are all (normally) accepting of each other's viewpoints, even those that agree, but be wary of those who AREN'T accepting and politely decline to argue with them and ignore them.

This is just me and would be awsome. No bare with me here K. Same sex things are off the table on this one k. Did you have relationship with say a female K. Say she got pregnant befor you died. That lil boy at the end was your great grandson. BOOM Mass Effect 4. Just saying.

All I want is what was advertised throughout the series, all your choices through Mass Effect 1, 2 and three help shape your Mass Effect 3. I spent many hours doing many playthroughs to tweak my Shepards universe a certain way. But all choices in all the games are rendered moot by 1 choice, a choice I get having done EVERY single thing in the two previous games. The exact same choices are presented if I start a new game in mass effect 3 and rush to the end.

I dunno, the more I think about it, the more I think that there is more coming. Reading the part about how the end, starting when you get blasted by the beam, was really some sort of unconscious dream like state, and that when you see the video with shepherd in the rubble, he is waking back up, IF you kept your resolve.
This I think is compounded by the autosave at the beginning of the whole ordeal and the fact that you can't manually save at any point during the entire Earth combat sequence.
