You mean after you warn her about Kai Leng? She wants some Alliance equipment, which i think contributes to her surviving. Did you do that step already? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the question.
*edit* Yep, I misunderstood:
For me, it went introduction -> warn about Kai Leng -> apartment (maybe a mission or 2 later, by email) -> save her

Oh hmmm...I'm not sure, to be honest. Unless I'm remembering the events incorrectly. Did you read her email? Maybe you have to keep playing?
