ME3 was full of emotion, at least for me. Its been a long journey since ME1 (over 4 years for me), and the first 99% of this game was more than worth the wait. Forgetting the ending for the moment, did anyone else have a real physically emotional response while playing ME3? Crying, jumping, shouting, all that kind of stuff?

I personally played the entire second half of the game with my mouth hanging open. I literally had to remind myself to close it, I was so entrance. My rapture turned to shock toward the end, but thats another matter.

I also distinctly remember shouting "Hell yeah!" during Thane's confrontation with Leng, and feeling absolute horror when it appeared that Grunt had died. I had to get up and walk that one off for a moment, I simply couldnt believe that, after all my work keeping him alive in ME2, that I'd gotten him killed protecting the rachni.

Mordin and Legion.... not much else to say. What an experience.

I think the writers did an outstanding job (ending aside) of drawing whatever emotion they wanted out of me. I was happy and joyous when they wanted me to be, some of the sad moments were absolutely devastating, and they even managed to get me as pissed off as Shepard a couple times. In terms of emotional resonance, I thought ME3 was damn near perfect.

Only on two occasions, those two being Mordin's death (real man tears were shed) and Legion's death (stiff upper lip but no tears).

Whenever Tali and Shepard would flirt I'd chuckle a bit, but that was the extent of my romance for the Shepard I chose. I liked ME2's romances more anyways...

Maybe because I knew that the final 1% was coming that I just couldn't enjoy the game at all. I wasn't emotional, I just kept thinking, "Doesn't even matter..."

I was more emotionally invested in Halo 3 than Mass Effect 3 by the end of the game. Think about it, that's pathetic on Bioware's part.

ME3 had me feeling totally engrossed by the story throughout, like I was watching something as gripping as Return of the King. Many bittersweet moments. Shepard telling Garrus that if Garrus isn't in that bar in heaven with Shep after this is over, he'll be watching over him? Shep will always have Garrus's back? Man I'm getting misty-eyed just thinking about it again.
