I destroyed the collector base.... i did every quest, found every single person i could talk to all quests are grey.. every system with explorable planets is at 100%.     I have 7000+ military strength.. the bar is green... but my readiness is 50%.. so my ending choices are.. kill myself and do something to the reapers... destroy all synthetic life + me becuase i have implants keeping me alive, plus i guess that means any biotic would die... plus i guess the quarians cus their suits keep them alive...................   or mutate everyone against their will into freakballs....

WTF is this war readiness crap that reduces my effect strength to below 4000.....

It was a lie by BW to make people think you didnt HAVE to play Mp to get the best ending. Apparently you do.

I heard something about how you can get 5000+ effective strength on single player mode, but only by completing a second playthrough.

Otherwise yes, it was a complete lie, and you have to play MP. Doesn't take long.

if you pick the 'kill the reapers' ending, you are just repeating the cycle. eventually, the geth, or some new synthetic, will be created and will decide they are going to wipe out all organic life. they will become the new reapers, and you are dooming millions of people to die.

if you pick the 'control the reapers' ending, you are just delaying the cycle. eventually the geth, or some unshackled ai, or some completely new synthetic, will decide they are going to wipe out all organic life. you control the reapers as a trump card to destroy these synthetics and save the galaxy (presumably over and over) but there will still be war between synthetics and organics, and millions of people will die to these (needless) wars and maybe the synthetics will leave ruins/data caches/hidden buried synthetics that will eventually help the synthetics defeat the reapers. do you really want to take that chance?

the 'synthesis' ending is the only ending that actually stops the cycle, guaranteed. it is also the only ending where Shepard is 100% guaranteed to die.

there is no good feeling epilogue to the game. we don't get to see the quarians building homes on their homeworld, or wrex and his kids, and the geth fortress completed with them all networked inside, nor do we get to see the rachni singing in harmony, or ashley and everyone else celebrating their victory against the reapers.

I feel manipulated by these companies right now... I shouldn't be forced to do anything... i put my effort in.. got 7100 readiness on my first playthrough... btu the 50% thing gets me the 3rd worst endings according to that IGN thing.

Way i saw it... i had unlocked the key to getting along with synthetic life during ME2 and ME3... aka treating them as they were people. I was envisioning that playing a part in showing the cycle didn't have to exist. Those 3 choices jsut didn't work for me.... and now i learn its cus i didn't play multiplayer with anyone.....

I know playing a horde mode knockoff is a hell of a annoyance but it can't be any different from the hundreds of hours of corridor shooting you've already done. Just tough it out, man. You'll go far.

the war assets give you a base score and you improve this base score by completeing singleplayer side missions and the campaign. the multiplay and various IOS apps allow you to improve your galactic readiness which is a multiplyer applied to your war asset score, i don't remember the exact number for maxing this but for the sake of this example il call it 1,000 which is much lower than thereal number. if you play only the single player you will need 2,000 points as the galactic readiness multiplyer is 50% an 0.5X 2,000 = 1,000 at this point the green bar is full and any further war assets will not effect your story. however if you play alot of multiplayer first and reach 100% you only need 1,000 as 1,000x1 is 1,000 and still the maximum.

also you have those same 3 endings anyway, they are the only endings in the game. nothing you do can change that and apart from Shepard surviving one of those endings the reapers only being destroyed in one of those endings the only difference in the three is what colour light the crucible sends out, so yeah.

lol this is once again spiraling into more madness... ur saying you can improve a % score in a game by buying apple devices and putting some app on them... that... is .... madness... to me thats like saying buying a mp3 palyer lets me use more than 1 speaker on a tv..........
