I'm not expecting anything until after Tuesday, and even then I'll be trying to not get my hopes up.

I hope they address it officially. I have a lot of trust in Bioware (Even after the horrible endings). I dont want them to lose my trust and the trust of thousands of others by ignoring us or bashing us like that ignorant Kotaku writer or that one ex-bioware employee did. +1.

Please make a statement Bioware. I want to have a reason to keep replaying the game(s) like I always have doen in the past. The ending as it is now make me not want to touch the game at all.

No response yet? Will they even say anything at all? What does everyone think?

Tentative maybe.

A reply will probably be a few weeks out if they make one. They are going to need to evaluate the feedback, decide if they want to fix anything, and then craft a PR statement around that.

I really hope they have enough respect for the fanbase not to stay silent and hope to ride the wave of controversy out.

I'm sure Bioware is getting a little tired of their fans ridiculous demands all the time.  And Bioware listens to and cares about their fans more than any other company I've seen. After spending countless hours and resources making something to please you, people still demand that they spend more countless hours and resources to make something to fix it how they want it.

They spent easily counted hours and easily tallied resources to see a return on their investment like every other business in the world that actually turns a profit. If they were doing this out of the goodness of their hearts we wouldn't have had day one DLC or these shenanigan endings.

I'm 100% tired of discussing the ending. I can't wait for this "issue" to be resolved so people can start discussing the actual meat of the game.

All I want is for Bioware to come out and say that they are aware of the response on the forums and are discussing the best way to handle it. It doesn't take a long time to word something like that. Is it too much to ask that they acknowledge our discontent?

Sorry, but this is nonsense. They didn't spend countless hours making something to please us. They spent countless hours doing their jobs, for which they are paid. As for BioWare listening more than most companies, I would agree, but unless that listening and alleged caring results in some kind of action that is different from what a company that doesn't listen and care would take, does it really matter?

People can reasonably disagree about whether, from an artistic standpoint, BioWare should change and/or add to the endings. But from a business standpoint it isn't even a question. They would have to be completely brain dead not to, because a substantial majority of people who finish the game and care enough to say anything absolutely loathe how it ends, and most seem to be indicating willingness to pay for new endings if that is the only way to get them. BioWare has an untapped gold mine on their hands if they do the thing that happens to be both right and smart.

I would like to hear something from them concerning this massive backlash as well, but I don't expect to hear anything until at least the 15th, after the game comes out in Asia. It's reasonable to assume that's what they're waiting for, but regardless, their continued silence--and Mike Gamble's nonsense--is only fueling the fire.

Why do people think the forums aren't a valid statistical representation of the population? Over ten thousand is a rather large sample size.

Apparently they think it's too small a number compared to how many copies of the game shipped. Which completely ignores the way that statistics are actually gathered (seriously you don't have to poll every person who played the game to get a consensus of the overall consumer view of it) and the fact that not everyone who played the game is going to come here anyway. I highly doubt that the 20,000 people (I'll knock off 5k from that poll for people talking about spamming) who voted in the poll are the only ones who aren't gonna like it and everyone else is gonna love it. That's just not realistic, it really isn't.

It's because it's biased, it's far from a random sample size. Out of all the ME players, the ones that bother to go to a forum, register and post are the so-called "hardcore" fans, the most passionate, the ones that scrutinzes the lore and plot. This set of players do not represent the average player in most cases, alot of percentages go around but 5-15% seems to be the most used. The question then is, is it worth the cost to adjust your product to appease the 5-15%?
