It is soo simple, who wants to invest more money, or time into a story that ends like the the Blockbuster movie Knowing.
"Whats the point in knowing if I can't do anything about it"
The answer almost no one.

It's because it's biased, it's far from a random sample size. Out of all the ME players, the ones that bother to go to a forum, register and post are the so-called "hardcore" fans, the most passionate, the ones that scrutinzes the lore and plot. This set of players do not represent the average player in most cases, alot of percentages go around but 5-15% seems to be the most used. The question then is, is it worth the cost to adjust your product to appease the 5-15%?
So wait, you are arguing that it would be a bad idea to release (and charge for, of course) DLC that is highly in demand by the portion of your player base which is by far the most likely to be willing to pay through the nose for DLC? Your position contains about as much logic as our current endings.

Though I doubt BioWare will address the issue any time soon. I cannot properly express how ...disappointed I was with the ending;
Talked with my aunt yesterday and she asked me what I did last night..
"Cried" I said, and she wanted to know why
"Have you ever read a book series that you fell completely in love with?"
- "Yes, yes I have".
"Well, imagine if the last chapter of the last book contradicted everything you had already read. Imagine the last chapter being so disheartening you never want to read either of the books again. Imagine the last chapter felt like the writer didn't even care about his or her story anymore."
And I continued to tell her about Mass Effect and how I love the franchise.
- "Wow.. I can relate .. Are you okay?"

You know what they say about assumptions, your making one right there. I never said anything about what is a bad idea, I layed out the reason for why the BSN is not representative of the entire ME playerbase. Only BW have the actual numbers to make a business case of the viability of a new ending. You can't say anything about who buys their DLCs the most without hard numbers. You can try and speculate all you want on weak general basis, but it will remain speculation.

If they say: no ending is good as it is... fine with me (not that really) and I won't play the ME trilogy again. At least we have a statement.
If they say: yes we are doing something... fine with me too. Although they wouldn't tell what it is a start.

However, let's not start berating BioWare just yet. This is a pretty big issue, and it's only just turned afternoon on the east coast of NA. I mean, several gaming sites have picked up on it, now Forbes, and couple that with the glut of negative customer reviews flooding the web over the ending ... I think BioWare needs some time to assess and evaluate.
Yes, they should comment. Hopefully soon. Yes, the ending is utter garbage and is a franchise killer. But I still hope BioWare will do the right thing here.

We can only hope that gaming websites do pick up this topic.Impulse and Compulse wrote...
Bioware better move fast. It won't be too long before the positive reviews on gaming websites are replaced with articles detailing fan outrage on Bioware's lack of regard for them.
