bump.

the concept of a game where i directed the course of the story as dictated by my actions is what made me LOVE this franchise. putting a '3 road' choice that has absolutely no reference to my choices, as well as devaluing them is really, really upsetting.

I just thought I'd like to address everyone's thoughts in a request for a public statement from Bioware regarding the ending of Mass Effect 3.

This public statement would not be required to release any specific details on your plans to combat your fans' opinions. This statement would be required to confirm or deny said plans to address the public outrage exist, and would be required to confirm or deny that said plans are being actively addressed.

Those two requirements are in place to remove any doubt concerning the existence of plans to reconcile your long-standing relationship with your fans, yet simultaneously allow you to not immediately announce what these plans involve.

It is recommended that this proposed announcement would be available to the public by Monday, March 12th at noon EST. This date and time allows the European fan-base to properly play and experience the current ending without the chance of having it spoiled directly or indirectly through any statements made in your announcement.

Sincerely, 98% of your vocal fan-base (29,100 and counting).

Please "+1" or "bump" this thread to show your support for an official statement from Bioware. We need to get something from them soon, or else it will be miserable for everyone.

I had no idea Bioware only had 29k crying fans? lol I guess the other millions are just faking it how awesome they are but playing their games anyway?

You guys are getting really old fast. I give Bioware a lot of credit.. a lot having to work so hard and then seeing the lot of you whining all the time, but I suppose its your right to cry, but how far is too far before its just SPAM

Hello, Want to point out these millions of fans?
Please post Source of factual Purchases of Me3 Copies (not Shipped copies)
Also, That Poll is a Scientific Smaple Size... And can be used for Accurate projections..
Perhaps you should stop instagating / Trolling the people who are petitioning the change of
something that has been promised from the beggning?

See my previous Post just above if you wish to be enlightened...

29,000 people that Finished the game, meaning 29,000 people that had the time to finish the game,
this does not even include the vast amount of people that do not have so much free-time and who have
probably bought the game and haven't even had time to sit down and put it in. Be it due to kids / Work / Life
I find your attack on our petition very offensive, Bioware acknlolges us to some degree that much is certian.

It is in their hands, Check just about any website for game reviews (user reviews) are in the toilet right now.
I myself having written a Pro/Con review and overall game experince review myself.. To have you come into
this thread posting this nonsense that we're crying on the Bioware Social Network, when we are relaying
extreme concerns about the game's ending (if this is infact the ending we are seeing).

I stand among the 20,000+ , if you like you can stand among the 500+.

I wouldn't of put it so bluntly, but I agree with the gist of what you're saying.

Just give them time. They will respond. It is only a week since release so there are still a lot of people just starting or still working on finishing the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they waited at least a few weeks at the very least.

Bioware needs to address this issue. Heck. I'll even take a "No DLC for you, Get over it!" statement. But the silence isn't helping.

Bioware won't own up to squat they got their checks and they cashed it in I'm pretty sure they don't give a rats buttox about any "proper ending DLC" any future mass effect games are shot in the foot never the less the head, destroy all that which is known as mass effect in 1 rushed ending good job! They probably are pinning up posts about how the ending sucks and laughing.

Being Pesimistic like that will get us nowhere, we need to be calm collected and focused on our goal to get anything done.

Personally I say, make the ending as it is a dream, a delirious fever dream by Shepard caught under a pile of rubble, have him crawl out, dust himself off, an epic charge, and then, BRING BACK THE ENDING KARPYSHYN WROTE!

Give us a face to face with Harbinger as he explains about how Dark Energy will destroy the galaxy and humanity being reduced to a reaper might give everyone else a chance so the reapers can put their metallic heads together with a fresh new mind and come up with ideas to stop Dark Energy. Let us say to him either "F**k you, the galaxy can figure out a solution just as easily as you can" and beat them with conventional weapons, or say "y'know maybe you're right, let's come up with a soloution together, even though we might end up losing our lives and individuality in the process." and sacrifice humanity to save the galaxy.

Yeah, please Bioware. Just to give people a bit of a "warm fuzzy feeling" after that cutoff gutting ending. Tis only fair!

What are you people expecting? They will most likely say; "Sorry that you don't like the ending but we decided to end the game and the story of Shepard this way because we thought is the best."
They will never ever change the endings OR confess thet the endings were bad. Why? That would be a certificate of poverty about all their work. They would acknowledge having failed on everything they tried making this game a good one.

no, no one was complaining about the rest of the game. The outrage is at the horrible endings. Them admitting that the endings are bad doesn't say that the rest of the game is bad, the fact that people care so much about it and are complaining about nothing else about the game aside from minor bug fixes should be an indication to the quality of the rest of the game.

That is not the point. It's about that people never confess that they're not good at what they are doing (espacially in artistic work). Even if it's just 5%. Let me put it like this: Michael Bay makes utterly well produces movies. CGI and action that just blows you away. But did you ever hear him saying; "Aw sorry guys for making such ****ty unlogical movies"?

Michael Bay never sold us two prior games on the basis that all of those choices leading up to the final gamewere going to influence a unique ending. Everyone buying a ticket to see a Bay movie knows what they are getting into, in the case of ME3 we were mislead.

*Sigh* I already feared BioWare screws ME3 up ... and somehow they did.

What i wanted to say ... I totally agree with your points (1st post).

Give us a damn answer before you alienate even more fans. We're not so sad as to willingly follow you into the next game series, so if you want the money, then its time to provide the goods.

I know there are hordes of people who haven't finished this game yet or even started it yet. Heck it hasn't even been released in Japan yet. But those are the people desperately scouring the (spoilers allowed) forum for some hope...one little post that says "Don't burn your disks the fix is coming." wouldn't ruin anything for people who aren't looking for it.
