Thanksgiving sucks when you have a dysfunctional family. I tried to just chew my food and stare straight ahead. Glad I got the hell out of there. That is all.
You're a sad person

What exactly is thanksgiving day, you'll have to forgive my ignorance but I always thought that was what americans called christmas.
I dont think it's the same. Christmas is christmas and thanksgiving day is... the day when you can eat a turkey! yay!
But it's something about....
"Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday."
2nd Monday in October (Canada)
4th Thursday in November (U.S.)
Got from wiki ^^

Sten: Humans, they never eat until they are full. They are much like dogs, they will eat all that is put before them whether they need it or not.
Morrigan: Thanksgiving is awful just bloody awful. You should have seen what horrors my mother cooked up for us in the wilds. I still have flashbacks to Flemeth sitting me down for thanksgiving supper and seeing black feathers and a large black beak sticking out from the roasting pot. My pet Crow had gone missing a day earlier.
Shale: I love, love, love thanksgiving! Hundreds, no thousands of birds slaughtered each year. It makes my crystals all warm and fuzzy. I wish every day was thanksgiving.
Alistair: Ooooo I just love the Cranberrys and the cheese and the turkey and the gravy and the cheese and the stuffing and the cheese and the wine and the potatoes and the cheese!
Oghran: (Burp!) In the stone we have something similar it is called nothanksgiving. Sodding nobles have their feast, I just go to the tavern and drink green coloured beer. For some reason the sodding dwarves get their celebration days mixed up. We usually drink, then kill someone, then drink, then argue, then drink and then kill someone else. It's all in good sodding fun.
Wynne: Ah yes, the noble and lovely celebration of thanksgiving. I we pray for the bird then we gently kill him and raost him in as gentle and as clean of a fashion as possible. Of course no alcohol is allowed at this feast and after dinner everyone must help wash the dishes, clean the counters, do the windows, darn the socks and wash the floor.
Leliana: Ohhhhh I love thanksgiving. Back in Val Royeaux it was such a sight! all the ladies wore their finest clothes to the feast! We then all sang and played music for hours before the feast. After the meal we exchanged presents of shoes! Lovely shoes of all kinds, shapes and colours!
Zevran: Aha! The day I love it. The men are falling asleep and drunk with wine and I can kill them easily. The women are falling asleep and drunk with wine and my pick up lines work on them! Such a wonderful day!
Dog: Growf! (I like day) whine (but I have to wait away from the table) happy bark! (but some let me hide under the table) happy happy bark! (and they feed me scraps!) whine, growl (except they at times feed me green stuff shaped as little trees) happy woof! (I'm going to hump someones leg after dinner!)
