Remember that cool game ME2?

It was basically about prepearation for something called "Suicide Mission". You were told that not everyone will come back, or even that possibly no one will survive.
Do you remember satisfaction you got, when after careful preparation, lot of effort and smart choices you could get everyone to survive?
Well this is exactly what you WON'T get in ME3. No matter how well you play and prepare. It's all meaningless.

I remember those cool games ME 1 ME 2 and 98% of ME 3. The 2% of ME 3 just happened to be a cancerous material that spread to the rest of the franchise and killed it though.
Can we tattoo that on the forehead of the writers and developers who green lighted the endings?

I don't remember that. I aced the suicide mission first time with my normal, routine RPG playing dilligence.Craven1138 wrote...

No, I was told it would be a suicide mission. It was decidedly non-suicidal. Bit of a letdown.Craven1138 wrote...

Agreed. There was nothing wrong with it.

To its credit, we also got a conversation with the Illusive man right after for closure. Which sadly, beats the **** out of what we got in Mass Effect 3.

Something about no mako or exploration of barren rocks.
Regardless, I'm not implying ME3 will be remembered fondly or not, I'm just bringing up old history.

I enjoyed ME2 and at the very least its ending had some closure in context to the story.
And your game had impact on ending.

Wait, are you serious or joking? Like, I get why people are upset, I do. But 98% good is pretty freaking good.
It seems to me that people only have a problem with the catalyst, what happens to Shepard and the crew/mass relays.
But that comprises about 5% of the actual final level.
You say good bye to your crew, you kick the Reapers in the quads, you save the human race and more.
Shepard did good.

No. It's about gameplay and story aspect. And fact that in ME series those things were connected. Unlike in ending of ME3.

He meant that 98% of the game was awesome and that 2% (the ending) was absolute horse manure. The end of a story is the most important part IMO. Having the end be bad leaves a really terrible taste in a persons mouth and because it is so recent and fresh in the persons mind, they tend to over look the rest of the story. They focus on how bad it is. This is compounded when the story in question has been being told for the past 5 years.

In ME2 your performance had very high impact on suicide mission. Including possibilities like:
- everyone dies
- some people die
- everyone lives
And that was in second out of three games.
Now they have final game, and they don't give us that freedom, flexibility and options. Your performance is meaningless and you can't get ending you want.
