So I am trying to be optimistic. As you know, at the end of the CS, the little boy asks for another story about "The Shepard" and Stargazer replys with something along the lines of "one more". This could mean anything from some sort of sequal or dlc with some sorts of continuation. But with the majority of endings, Shepard dies. So more storys about Shepard dont make much sense, seeing as he is dead.

So, fine people of Bioware Social, what are you interpertaions of this scene? Possible hint at more or just blowing smoke?

In my denial and infinite hope, I was also hoping what Stargazer said was foreshadowing of a new title, or at least new DLC, but as you mentioned, none of the endings really does any favors for Shepard OR his crew, nevermind the rest of galactic society.

Hope springs eternal, but I'm not holding my breath. We shall see how it turns out.

Just an excuse to get Buzz Aldrin to voice a character. The deepest meaning it has, at most, is a hint at side-story DLC. "One more story" could be as mundane as "Oh, he also took back Omega. Let me tell you how he did it."

I think it was just meant to segue back into gameplay.

That's how I took it, as well. Presumably, the "one more story" you tell is whatever Shepard does after you start playing again. Which is a little weird if that "one more thing" is just me having sex with my LI, but so be it.

What these two said. With the possible inclusion of mid-game DLC missions.

I thought the same thing op. foreshadowing another Shepard story? Just like the dream with the kid sitting next to Shepard foreshadowed his death.

Stargazer was the final straw for me. @_@ You're telling your kid a story about a man who can potentially be a sociopathic xenophobe/specist who has sex with genetically enhanced human women or hypocritically with alien chicks. What kind of grandfather tells their kid a story like that? It was just...BEYOND idiotic.

Maybe it wasn't a kid. The silhouette looked like a shrunken man.

Well, perhaps if Shep chose the "Synergy" ending, he doesn't actually "die". Instead he "ascends". I mean his body literally turns to pure energy, so perhaps he returns to his original form at some point later.

But I just have to say, is it just more or does the planet that the Stargazer and the child on the same planet that the Normandy crashed on?

It is the same planet. That why the 2 moons are emphasized in both.

But the two moons are located in two different places on each planets backdrop. So maybe there are 3 planets, and the stargazer is on one, while the Normandy crashed on the other..
in my playthrough the Normandy crew died, so unless those people were already there, how is it possible?

I've been too gut-punched to really think about this... I agree.

What are you talking about? Some of my fondest memories of my grandpa were of him telling me stories like that /jk
Anywho, he might just be giving the overview when it gets to the sex parts, or he could have even gotten the stories from one of the time capsules Liara created, since no matter what your Shepard says, she makes a hero out of him.

I'd like to think that the man I've since termed as "A**hole Grandpa", was actually talking a steaming heap of fabricated s**t to his grandson and things didn't really turn out the way it did in his story.
That way Bioware could recover something from this debacle and change things a little.

My grandfather would tell me stories like that, though, so I'm okay with this.

The 2 Moons probably holds no significance as it seems to be that this diagram is proper..

I like that name for grandpa. Deus ex machina is to me the same exact thing as waking up at the end of the episode to find out it was all a dream. Also, apparently Buzz Aldrin is the voice for the grandpa. Man, is he terrible at VA.

You wanna know what I don't get?

Why did Bioware use an adult model for the kid pic related:

The little epilogue just added a layer of garbage on top of the big pile. Pretty much admits that even after a long enough time period that Shepard is now a legendary figure.... society still hasnt even advanced back to interstellar levels. How freaking depressing is that?
