Oh, that reminds me.

Re: high res Normandy SR2 (ME3) texture.

The blurred white squares on the side of the Normandy, in the low res in-game texture, are supposed to be windows. Not sure why that was translated into scratches (carbon scoring) in the high res texture. There are clearly visible ports in many of the rooms (Liara's, the captain's, et al).

Just some helpful critique, hope you don't take it the wrong way. :) I know that's the reason I don't use it.

Edit: Someone recreated a model of the Normandy and they made them visible ports, visible here. I'd love to see that corrected.

:P Not are scratches, are windows, but in smaller dimensions, I try to recreate the same size, but looked very fake, then take other windows of another texture of the game and turned out well but smaller.

Among the originals, handmade and small, that they looked better, were small, so I chose them.

I understand that I do not love the game so much as others, but my purpose is to eliminate the unpleasant images that look pixelated. I'm not a digital artist, I have no knowledge about it, I think that's because I make some mistakes in detail as those you mention.

Maybe later I can fix that, or anyone else can recreate those windows.

Too bad for some of us increasing the texture size in coalesced produces black textures. :crying:

Right now the process is a little sketchy with the application. For instance, replacing the Liara texture they said to replace doesn't replace her white suit while on the Normandy. You have to go through and find all the instances of that single texture to fully replace it. I believe they're working on an automatic version that finds all the instances of that texture and replaces them though.

Hey everyone, I've got an update for the N7 Demolisher. Thanks to Smarteck who did the same thing with her that he did with his Destroyer, and now she looks MUCH better. The plan is to re-release all of my mods this way.

What does the new relief file actually change in the textures? I'm trying to see the differences between version 1 and 2, but either it can't be seen in the screenshots, or the difference is minor.

Hello again, people. I have updated all the "dress blues" textures, previously edited by me, in order to improve the lighting and some things that I've considered that weren't that good yet. Following are the links to the new versions of the previously released alliance staff and admiral ander; my own version of Admiral Hackett (based on Inbleedingrapture original textures and depicting his rank exactly as it was in the default textures); and some pics depicting all versions of the dress blues. The lights reflecting in these versions are more similar to the default textures instead of the Smarteck/Inbleedingrapture ones.

If you find something still awful, just let me know and I will do my best to fix.
You can follow eventual progress on this textures here: http://social.biowar.../index/13898689

Smarteck, if you add the textures, please use this version.
Thanks

NOTE: The color black seems to remove the HD quality from the armor and the pattern. I'm looking into a fix for this and will update the mod when it's fixed.

The reason it took so long to do was the male and female maps are different so i had to make each one. As always, the pictures don't do the mods justice and it looks better in game. Enjoy!

Doesn't work anymore.

Can't spot the difference. The only thing I see that is different is the color.

I thought about using the thing from me3explorer, but after I've read the guide, it looks like I'll pass. If I have to go through that process everytime I wanna play ME3, seriously, no thank you. And the textures just look the same.

it's not supposed to be a complete rehaul or anything, but if you look closely there's almost no jagged edges on her line work anymore, the lights look much better, the N7 logo is fixed. Things just look much cleaner and more natural now.

Well, maybe when it'll become easier to use I'll try it. As it is right now, I don't feel like spending one hour for every mod, modifying and tweaking them just so they work with this ME3Explorer.

What do you mean ... I add all the MODs to Texmod and the game only takes about 5 minutes (for the multiplayer) to start. It's not difficult, and the Relief files make the character look incredibly well, their armor terminations are much more perfect

Maybe you can see what we mean in the following image, notice the lines of the hull in the front, the sawteeth disappear (click on the image and maximise to 100%):

If you do not notice the difference may be due to something in the type of monitor you are using .. or it may have something to do with the AA method you use in Windows. But believe me, now look much better. :D

Anyway, starting tomorrow I'll add Relief files to all Armors. Will look a lot better than before, You'll see. ;)

Use what with TexMod ?

@smarteck I have noticed the differences. A little bit too late though.

Oh, and I don't think we're talking about the same thing here. I was talking about ME3Explorer.
