I haven't had much time to work on mods lately. Unfortunately. I've done some preliminary tests on it and I've made it darker, but I've got to go darker still.

Awww! :crying: i was hoping that you would do the Reckoner Knight Armor for Shepard in Ultra High Definition. im tired of lookig at the default look.

Really? I was looking at images of Kai Leng and i've noticed some differences between him and this mod.


The body model is the same for Kai-Leng as it is for the N7 Slayer. However the texture and texture map are entirely different. For one thing, Kai-Leng's default texture map is considerably higher quality than the N7 Slayer is.

Update:


Been awhile since I released anything due to being busy. However I do have some new content coming shortly. I have a new version of the M-11 Wraith, M-77 Paladin, and Cerberus Harrier incomming. These are minor updates, largely some contrast and adjustments here and there to bring added detail. The M-77 Paladin got a new normal map.

Also, I decided to bundle the M-11 Wraith, M-77 Paladin and Black Widow together optionally and individually. Since these are all three the weapons available from the SPECTRE office / terminal on the Citadel, I found it fitting to include all three together as the SPECTRE pack.

I have also taken Smartek's outstanding new Ultra HD N7 Default armor and modified it. I made one improvement that I had made to some of my own mods. I have altered the carbon fiber pattern used on the shoulders and some other parts of the armor to match that of the other armors I've done. I believe it will improve the look of the armor slightly, as it doesn't have the blending issues and seams that the texture pattern he used does, but the main reason I did this is to make it appear more consistent with the armor pieces I'm working on so that when they are mixed and matched, they'll look right and have the same style.

Also, working on an updated Recon Hood with that in mind. Wrapping up some testing now and I'll have the weapons I mentioned available very shortly. The armor will take a bit longer.

As usual I'm being lazy about the screenshots. I'll take care of them sometime tomorrow. Like I said though, the Widow is unchanged, the Paladin has a new normal map and some contrast adjustments to the texture, and I did the contrast adjustment to the M-11 Wraith. So not a lot new going on with those. They are just now bundled together and tweaked. The Harrier shows the most change by far.

I also just remembered I meant to do another update to Liara's alternate armor outfit which would include her breath mask which she uses on Mars and a few other places. This would also work in conjunction with the From Ashes DLC outfit. So I'm testing that and I'll have that shortly.

You can try this page. There are some mods that change some colors and little else.

I can only say that for the most part, all the mods I make are higher resolution, and higher detailed versions of the stock look. Unfortunately addressing each and every color change request would mean that we wouldn't get anything else done  Lots of people want to see artistic changes to the game (which is odd because at first, people got pissed off if we changed anything from it's basic stock look) and while some of the ideas could be pretty cool, the fact is that changing the color of something isn't as easy as you might think it is. It is also very time consuming.

If you want to see changes like that, start doing mods yourself. It's really pretty easy to do. I knew very little about Photoshop and nothing about making mods like this until I started doing it. Smartek's tutorials are very good. Normal maps are a pain but I can help you with them if you need assistance. And as you do it your mods will get better and better.

My goal is to eventually get all Shepard's armors done. So please be patient. Also realize that Ultra High Definiton isn't an accurate term. That's just what Smartek decided to call it. The mod that Smartek released still has the same pixel count as the last one. It simply has normal maps on it and specular lighting maps which it didn't have before. The texture does feature some changes, but it's really all about lighting. And many of us have been doing specular light maps and normal maps on our mods for quite some time. Even some of Smartek's mods had normal maps, they were done by other people. He now knows how to do these himself without creating odd behavior with the game's lighting and shadows and is updating mods accordingly.

I remember doing the same thing not so long ago.

As for something really ultra-high definition, the only things that would qualify would be monitors which exceed 1920x1080 which are sadly, few and far between. And as far as I know there are no 4k resolution computer moniotrs.

Moral of the story, don't latch on to what amounts to marketing terms as they'll almost always lead you down a path of false understanding.

Would you guys mind telling me how you got the relief files to work? I've been trying to add one to default shepard but can't for the life of me get it to work.  I think I may be having the same problem you were. I'm not super experienced in editing textures so I'm sure it's something on my end. I keep trying different output formats in photoshop but have no luck yet. :(

Update: 

I decided to update the M-76 Revenant. The IBR version was pretty good but it didn't color change properly because the plain green / red texture was altered which is responsible for color changing. I was going to remove this from the mod and then give it a new normal map, but I decided against it. I created an entirely new mod basically from scratch. I did carry over some of the text work on the IBR Revenant mod so I didn't have to match the fonts.

Anyway, here we are:

Really? I see them occasionally in multiplayer, but I didn't think anyone actually really used them a whole lot. I can certainly give it a look. Weapon modding is usually pretty quick and easy. The M-11 Wraith being the exception due to the additional reflective properties applied to it.

 Claymore's one of the best weapons in the game if you're reload canceling in MP. Big damage with almost no reload time :D
