Well even with the choke it doesn't quite have assault rifle range on it, but it does have the effective range of an SMG so that's good.

Really? I was looking at images of Kai Leng and i've noticed some differences between him and this mod.
The body model is the same for Kai-Leng as it is for the N7 Slayer. However the texture and texture map are entirely different. For one thing, Kai-Leng's default texture map is considerably higher quality than the N7 Slayer is.
I was thinking less of the model and more of the texture. For example the mod makes the Slayers back and sides a grey colour but as far as I can see Kai Leng's back is black.

First, Ariake Tech Legs Armor Alternate Edition HR. I've modified the metallic material and the illumination file and also added the Relief file:




And second, EDI Default Suit. I've modified the illumination files, added some lights that the first time I could not, and I've added the files for Relief:

Yeah, that's one of my older weapon mods. After that one I learned to do things a bit differently. I'll give it a go here shortly and see what I can come up with. I use that weapon on my Destroyer quite a bit in multiplayer.
Also, M-300 Claymore is almost finished. I'm just tweaking the reflective properties of it now.
Love the new EDI BTW, It combines well with the outfits I did with her.

I noticed that If I don't darken the red and green channels enough that these lines will appear on Shepards face, sort of looking like a mask

However if I start to darken them anymore so that the mask is gone Shepards face becomes ultra smooth and the details dissapear

I've tried a few different methods like sharpening/unsharpening his face to get it to work but I've been unsuccessful so far.

Working with skin is very complicated .. the problem is in the way the game puts together the pieces, it's a disaster.

I was actually sucessful with creating one for Liara but my intenion was to smooth out some of her scales so I had no problem with it becoming flatter as I darkened the Channels. But in this case I prefer Shepard not to be baby faced.
If I figure out a solution for this I will post it here for any other modders having this problem

Yes it is.
For those who don't know, the skin is done in sections and then each has their own normal maps. Where the sections of skin meet is usually the problem. Shepard is also unique because he or she is extremely customizable. Ashley, Kaiden, etc. are all static and are easier to work with if only slightly.
