Nice work thank you again ;)
Is it difficult to remake all the pièce of Shepard's armor because I always choose default armor ( too beautiful with your mod <3)?

¡Buena suerte!

yeah, it seems the fix is hit or miss with the newest update. i just tried out the cinema mod a few nights ago and it worked for me with the IGO32 fix. Maybe try and download an older version of Origin from Smarteck's guide in the main post.
No problem and thanks! :D

I will give this another go then , I really really hope it works this time around. Thanks again!

Finally I can reply here. Thank you Smarteck for these textures. It really improves gaming experience and they run well on my 512 MB 4350 GPU.

If I may I'd like to make two requests because I really suck at drawing in photoshop:

1. MP's BF3 soldier armour and collector's rifle with HQ textures, because some people use them in SP by modding coalsced.bin. I have extracted DDS files of the BF3 armour.

2. I believe Smarteck once said he could not access Shepard's body textures. Well, I have found them too. Once in a while it is fun to let shepard save the galaxy in underwear lol

EDIT: OK. Here is a pack of DDS files of BF3 armor, Shepard's body and Collector Rifle.:wizard:

www.mediafire.com/

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for Mr Smarteck to release default Shepard's face with RF, so I can begin to port the face to ME 1 & 2.

I also have ported "31. Armor Alliance Soldiers in High Resolution 4096x4096" for Shepard's use because of a modded coalsced.bin. I will post screenshots and a DL link later.

Thanks again

EDIT: (Will update this once Smarteck updates his with new RF)

I never would have imagined Shepard with that armor, I was surprised by the change you made. :D

Nice, thanks! I guess I can add the BF3 soldier to my list of mods to do.

Ok, I've been working on the Male Human Engineer / Infiltrator all day completely re-doing the texture, making completely new maps including pattern and relief, etc. I managed to get rid of those annoying squares and it definitely looks better. However, after doing the same thing for him I've done for every other character he didn't turn out as well as them. At least not to me, maybe you'll disagree.

Also, Since the female is basically the same texture just things are mixed around differently, I'm going to take a break from them tomorrow and do the Batarian, then come back Friday with the Female :D

Well done. Although I don't play this profession, it looks very similar to shepard's default armour. Perhaps in the future I could try to port smarteck's 1.4 version to MP as well.

It is the same as Shepard's ME2 armor, but the texture map is different. Shepard's ME3 armor has more polygons and a new texture map. You can't import it into MP.

I see. Thanks for the infomation. Then I will try to port the ME2 armor, then B)

Oh I also thank you for your HD textures. Collector Armor v1.1 is my fav. Hope it will be updated with new RF files too.:P

you need to apply the fix to the IGO32.dll in the folder that contains Origin.exe

I was using the Cinema mod and this fix actually worked after Origin's previous update but not this time, at least in my case. Ah, I miss all the colours.

And thanks for all the mp textures, they look great in game.

Just to check, I just loaded Texmod with all these textures + the Cinema Mod using the latest Origin with the IGO32.dll fix we've all been using and it loaded just fine. You should widen your search on why it isn't for you.

Common thing to check is making sure you are not running other software that attempts to hook (overlay) onto D3D. Examples such as Origin, Steam, Xfire, EVGA Precision, Afterburner, uMod, etc.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

However, the Collector Armor and all my current mods have "relief" (they are actually called normal maps) textures included. I've been creating those files for quite some time and I've helped others do the same. It's not a new thing. Smartek just started doing it recently, but many of us have been doing it for awhile now. Wadres actually did the first ones for ME3 out of our group I believe.

If you go back and read my posts, you'll see that I updated all the mods I've ever done sometime before page 92 to include them. Liara's secondary outfit was one of the last to get this update as hers was particularly tough to work with.

And you can't port the ME2 armor over. While the polygon count is the same, and it is most likely the ME2 model, the texture map is entirely different. Once again the MP texture maps include helmets, Shepard's do not. They are not and never have been compatible.

EDIT:

M-300 Claymore Shotgun HR2048 v1.0

Also, as requested someone had asked me to do a variant of the Cerberus Harrier which didn't change when mods like the magazine mod were applied. I have succeeded. This new variant of the Cerberus Harrier only changes the lights on the receiver to reflect armor piercing and other mod changes. But this is the only color change that occurs now.

The project you have open for Liara's alternate outfit has broken links. (The mediafire one links to a deleted file.) Is it the same as Smarteck's, listed on page 1?

The links in my mod post work: http://social.biowar...492/91#13218652 Sadly I almost never update the individual project pages. Too many places need updates to track easily. So I've now deleted all project pages but one, which links directly to my mod post where everything works correctly.

You are looking for Liara Default Armor v1.3 w/Breath mask.  As I update mods I purposely remove all the old files so that people don't get the older ones. Unfortunately this thread is way too big for me to go through and fix every link given how many versions of each mod I've made in some cases.

It's the same armor that Smartek's nephew modded, but artistically the mods are totally different. As to which is better is a matter of personal taste. I will say that mine matches better with Ashley's armor, which is done in the same style as I did them both.

Actually the Liara armour that caught my interest was her Alternate (From Ashes), I'm pretty sure I had an earlier version. The direct link to your post helped me get the newer version of it. Thanks for that. I really like that texture.

I'm not a fan of the default armour for Liara because of all the added bump mapping. I like smooth surfaces. I find a lot of HR mods simply go overboard in this regard, adding things which should be kept simple (fancy octogons or excessive bump ridges for silvered metal), or discolouring them to distinguish them (N7 armour, chestplate is twotoned in almost all HR versions) because it draws unneeded attention to breasts (even on BroShep - quite weird, I assure you). Turns most projects into uncanny valley.

On the other hand, you did Ashley's alternate armour, which I like a great deal. I'm not a fan of her default mini-skirt armour outfit and this is actually the first time I've seen a HR of her alternate outfit done. Much appreciated!

(Postscript, nobody take offence to my opinions about textures. Those of you creating these are doing it for yourselves and happen to be sharing it with the community. I respect that a great deal, and at the end of the day there are quite a few I use, some for squadmates, some for weapons, etc. Sadly, my Shepard is pretty much all low res, but that's my aesthetic choice.)

One thing, I used to do quite a bit of bump mapping on everything and then I stopped. I do as little as possible now. The carbon fiber pattern I use put a stop to the bump mapping as it would generate a ridiculous amount of artifacts in the normal maps.

And I'm actually updating Liara's armor and Ashley's armor again right now. A minor change. All I'm doing is improving the forearm armor texture. I have never liked it. I found something I do like now.

Have you ever wanted your space hamster to be black?

Now you can:

http://filesmelt.com...kspacebunny.tpf

http://filesmelt.com/dl/black1.bmp

(I have a black rabbit so I'm going to use a text editor to rename the hamster "Salty Garrus." Posted because...why not?)

Clearly, an essential mod everyone needs.

Updated my mod post.

Updated Ashley to v1.6 and Liara's alternate armor to v1.4 with breath mask. The breath mask will work with the From Ashes DLC armor as well, but that armor doesn't include the breath mask itself.

I gave them a new forearm armor texture.

Believe me, I wish they were compatible. I'd love to simply have used the multiplayer version of the Defender armor as a starting point. The texture is far cleaner and less messed up than it's normal texture was. Still by far the hardest mod I've ever made.

That's strange, usually the Multiplayer textures are god awful compared to the Single Player textures.

It's the one exception. And actually, some of the game's textures are a lot better than you might think. What kills them is the absolutely god aweful low resolution normal maps. They are often 128x128 or 256x256 for textures as large as 1024x1024. Take the Terminus Armor for example:

Mass Effect 2's Terminus Armor Texture Specifications

Main Texture: 1024x1024
Normal Map:  512x512
Specular Light Map: 1024x1024

Mass Effect 3's Terminus Armor Texture Specifications

Main Texture: 1024x1024
Normal Map: 128x128
Specular Light Map: 512x512

All the ME2 armors in the game that are present and unmodified in ME3 have the same exact problem. Though their normal maps aren't generally as bad as the Terminus Armor's. To give you an idea, most of the guns are 512x512 or smaller textures, and many of those still have normal maps of 256x256. So the Terminus example is a perfect example of where the graphics of ME3 took a step back from ME2. The game would seriously look a lot better if we simply fixed all the normal maps and made them higher resolution.

Now, it still looks better for all the work, but the normal maps are where BioWare went horribly wrong. They scaled them back far too much for the consoles in order to save disc space on the game disc's and we suffered for it. If lighting were handled the same as ME2's, I'd snatch the normal maps out of it for items found in both games and use them as a higher resolution starting point.

But the Defender Armor was particularly badly degraded. Higher resolution than most of the game's armor textures oddly enough. But the degredation effected it color wise, and pretty much everywhere else. The multiplayer version includes the death mask, but while it doesn't have as much degredation, it's lower quality in some areas. But due to the lack of detail on it, I'd have found an easier time mapping the carbon fiber pattern to it and going from there. In essence it's not a better texture, just a cleaner starting point due to being less detailed.

Testing a the N7 Typhoon BTW.
