I agree with you in that.

There really needs to become a new DRM that can replace origin entirely soon thats alot less restriction focused.

Ok so i got the origin to work , no idea what was wrong >_>
So i got the DLC
now 2nd game , i bought the premium spectre pack for 99k
i got the vanguard krogan
i played some strange unknown map , i got stuck at a [cargo or something]
i was unable to move or , but my team said i am moving ...
started the next game , i run that way but my char runs the other way , so did my account got broken or what the @!##

edit:
anyway , any one wanna work on the krogan [vanguard[? i can extract it and upload the files.

Awesome work on the diffuse map. 

However...I think your norm map could use some work as those annoying boxes on her chest plate are still there. Just thought I'd offer some input since it's not like I could do any better. :lol:

There is no normal map in the tpf file he shared with us , he would have to do the normal map from the diffuse but , seriously i have no idea how to do normal map that will look like the one from the game , i know how to make normal ones but not those special ones >_>

I don't know why but I'm experiencing some stuttering when playing with the texture mods enabled.
My GPU is a GTX 570 and i play at 1080p, i'm no expert but this should be more than enough to handle the HR textures.
Is anyone else having this problem?

ERrr..I mean spec map. I always refer to norms as bump maps. My bad.

remember that this is astupid console port , the porting is so broken that i gave up on buying 560ti , since the performance would be the same as on my old 8800 ><

or maybe the emissive texture is too big now [ 1024 he made it ]
but sincerely i have no idea .

edit:
There is no specular texture in the mod
Specular textures are suppose to be greyscale , the ones that are in the tpf file are , diffuse x2 [main body and the thing on the face] and i think 2 emissive textures [same thing]

about the emissive , i think they are suppose to be only orange or so but here we have more then that .
I am no expert so treat my word wit h half open eyes.

Yeah, you're right.
this game is a straight console port, they didn't even bothered to make those horrible environment textures decent for the PC.
Sad, but expected.

by the way , i wonder what will happen if switch the orange [possibly emissive not sure , anymore with this kind of stuff] with a specular [greyscale]

I turned the origin earlier as i said to download the DLC [resurgence or whateva]
and i forgot to turn it off
and it seems i am running texmod in logging mode with the in game origin , so strange.

edit:
result is ashley is walking glowing object :)
gonna try a different way

I solved by optimizing the "Antialiasing". Currently "4x multisampling" and "8x supersampling" (via Nvidia Inspector).

Just wanted to notify that i've figured my framerate problem.
It weren't the texture mods, but the fxaa tool that was causing stuttering in the game.
Still don't know why but when i turn off the fxaa(pause break) the game runs smooth as silk.

Just a hypothetical question here: I play the console versions, but if I were to get this for PC and use the texture mods, would my laptop be able to handle it? My graphics card is only a GeForce GT 540M with 1GB dedicated VRAM, I know I can play all three ME games on the highest settings without issue, but I don't know if these mods would kill it.

Well download the latest .NET framework, easy. I still haven't fixed the issue that when using the textures with texmod the controls don't work.

The red text in the left corner is when you use "logging mode" logging mode is for extracting textures not when you use someone mod , for that you use the 1st option and build package is when you want to build a package [tpf file]

I'm not using logging mode, I'm using package mode but there's still red lines around the Texmod window. Also when in game, the mouse just floats around.

I'm running an Asus ROG G74Sx laptop with GTX 560M, 3GB VRAM.  I loaded every HR texture Smarteck has done including his latest EDI and my Mantis Sniper Rifle HR texture and the total time it takes from loadup to the Bioware splash screen was 34 seconds.  The game ran smooth as silk.

Since you have 1GB VRAM, IMO, you would have no problems but probably best not to run all the textures at once but rather load the applicable textures that you know would apply to the area of the game you are going to play.

Nvm it seems like it's not texmod causing this, but there's a problem with the game. Ugh...
