Haven't tried that, but I tried removing all my weapon textures and I'm not getting any more crashes, at least not after 1 minute in-game. Total size of the loaded textures is now 977MB. Is there a known issue with some weapon texture files?

Can we get a high res texture of Thane and Kolyat? Thane's costume can be recoded from JeanLuc's ME2 mod and Kolyat's costume can just be recoloured.

So I just tried launching the game with all the texture mods (except MP ones) without FXAA and the game just crashed as soon as the start screen appeared. I'm using a 4GB GTX680 and 8GB of ram.

Until someone does a better job and that recolor, (though Jean-Luc's ME2 Thane has face alterations as well) you can use this file:

EDIT: I was going to ask why no one had ported the ME2 texture of Thane by Jean-Luc to ME3 and then loaded it up in game and...it actually looks pretty good default.

EDIT2: Tried it myself. Got the following:

The textures are either not compatible or I screwed something up. I'll probably try again tomorrow.

EDIT3: Got the Thane textures by Jean-Luc kinda working, but not really. The ones that have the exact same file names port fine, and the model does look better. Two of the files from Jean-Luc I figured out were for Thane's alternate appearance in 2, and only one file needed to be renamed to match ME3's new file for it: what I think is the normal map for Thane's face. I've uploaded the textures that work properly and what I think is the normal that appears to me to cause some kind of weird black lines or shading on Thane's face, and a crispy ugly black outline. I'll tinker with it more later.

I don't use FXAA, actually. Since I flip-flop between SP and MP, I tend to go vanilla except for some SP textures.

I bought Levithian on the day of release and still haven't played it. I decided to do a whole run thru of the series so it felt more integrated and organic.

Perhaps others are doing the same or haven't got the spare cash to buy it.

EDIT: Dumb question, but for the MP textures - is there a specific color set for characters we need to use or otherwise the improvements won't show?

Not yet, sorry it's been taking me so long. I completely retextured the skin/hair but I've run into problems with the alpha channel. I'm sure it's me just doing something wrong. I'll try to have it up as soon as I can figure it out.

You've got a diffuse texture disjunction at the nose, under the right eye, and a specular flattening on the forehead, and the hairline speaks for itself.

It's something to do with the diffuse texture, as I took out the normal map to test which one was causing the problem. 
it seems like it has something to do with the alpha cannel. I've tried darkening/lightening it to no avial but haven't made progress.
It looks fine on the other side though

Well, I guess it is noticable then, I'll have to keep trying to fix it, and maybe a few other things

Yeah you're right, it has a weird shine to it but then cuts off closer to the face

 I think I made the hair way too dark as well, it seems sort of unatural, like it's painted on. 
I'm going to release my old version for now, the normal map only versions which are compatible with Smartek's retex.

The first one, Shepard with no wrinkles here:

and then Shepard with less wrinkles here:

I'm very sorry for all who were waiting for the new versions :(

Do not worry, it's true that anyone can try to create MODs, but it is something that takes time, especially working on skin .. the detail of the junctions is complicated.
Thank you for sharing what you've advanced. ;)

A new update. This is something I had long pending, correct the Male-Female Human Soldier/Vanguard Armor for MP.

Changes:

- Added new metallic material.
- File of illumination fixed.
- New layer for Lights.
- Added file for relief.



To be honest, it was much better than I expected, in game looks soo real. :D

Note: In the appearance menu, the highlight color adds iridescence, I recommend leaving it in black for a more detailed appearance.

Yeah this stuff takes a lot of time and practice. Trial and error is a huge part of it. I keep going back and fixing things or even improving older mods when I learn new techniques, or something just doesn't look right to me while playing the game. Speaking of, I think I've finally nailed the Revenant down and I've got a new version of Ashley inbound. Normal map improvements on her and a new helmet. The Revenant I've finally got looking more like I'd envisioned. Cleaned it up some, disabled the color changing on the body as it doesn't work right. (BioWare's fault, not mine.) So I'm looking forward to putting those out. I've also done some tweaking on the Collector Armor.

Still working on the Kasa Fabrication set. Slow work, but I think it will pay off. Should have the same level of detail that the default N7 armor has.

I do not know if this had already been offered somewhere, but I share it anyway. It's about the Devastator Mode for N7 Destroyer Soldier, his HUD can be somewhat annoying because it occupies too much space on the screen, especially if you're playing in 3D. B)


I have created a modification that only leaves the camera image and removes all lines of the screen. :D

I could kiss you, thank you. All that "noise" on the screen from Devastator Mode and Geth Hunter Mode really wreck my ability to aim or see motion.
