"Initially I had planned ME1 colored outfits for both Ashley and Liara, and that did save me the trouble."

Yeah, I was thinking of that awhile back - it would be nice to have Ashley in those old school white and pink colors. Garrus in his blue armor not blow up. ME1 clothes are a nice little novelty.

So is there a simple or easy way to install these new textures? Like all in one package, or already edited game files to download? The first post just seems too complicated for me, at least if only way to install these is to install them one by one..

You don't really install them one by one. You run them all at once in an "overlay" mod called Texmod.

I would prefer her in white and "mild" pink for both casual and armored looks from back in ME1 or ME2, myself.

This is cool, although, I probably would not have the black undergarments black, but more of a off white or gray color.

In general terms, can you just Mod and swap the "models" from her personal casual outfit to the common Alliance uniform?

No you can't. At least I'm not aware of any way to do that. As far as I know she's stuck wearing whatever the game developers wanted her to wear aside from the missions where you can choose.

So to be clear...

If Ashley's Casual piece/texture/mesh is called Ash_Casu; And the Alliance "casual" uniform was called Alli_Uni.

You could not edit the .INI files, so that the game calls up the Alli_Uni for when Ashley is present is casual wear?

I am trying to wrap my head around how these mods work (with TexMod) and how the INI can be "modded."

Sorry for the basic questions....

There ain't any issues yet as I haven't even started working on modding ME3 this time. I tried installing this once before though, but I stopped when I saw all the separate links to mod files in the first post of the topic. And now even in Skydrive's folder it seems to me that I still have to download them mod files one by one. Maybe I just should start going through them and look which of the mods I need, if there aren't any package which would contain all, or almost all of these mods. Like a working good-looking setup?

Last time I got the Illumination Mod or FXAA Tool installed and working though, but I'd like to go all the way this time and mod the game to a whole new level (graphically). I did this with Skyrim and the game looked much prettier than in Vanilla..

There is a master file for all the locations (aka Zona C). But it shouldn't be a problem using a lot of files if you organize them into seperate folders.

I think the Red version (default) is better, but is your choice... ;)

Ah, thanks Smarteck! I really appreciate you doing that.

The red is better, but I like to goof around using different clothes at different parts of the game.

Not quite. You can add any of these meshes to Shep's appearance via Coalesced.bin (which is what I assume you're talking about with .ini). But NPCs and henchmen's appearance are all controlled by the .pcc files in which they appear. If you want to change the mesh which a NPC has then you need to mod those individual .pcc files. At least that's my understanding.

At the moment you can't quite do that, but it's coming very soon. ME3 Explorer can already export the meshes and they're about to add the import function. Once that's running you'll be able to export a mesh from a character and then import it for someone else. Or you can change the mesh yourself in a program like 3DS Max.

If you want to have a look at it yourself, Ash's casual appearance is HMF_ARM_ASHa_MDL. Searching through Coalesced didn't return any results, so I'm quite sure it's not in there.

Wow Dead Meat. That must've taken _forever_. Impressive though.

Internet Explorer 10 breaks Mass Effect 3? Lol. Glad I use Chrome. Thanks for the warning though.

The latest batch of weapons mods I've done like the Valkyrie and the Typhoon have taken a ton of time. They are on average probably about 85% new textures. They aren't quite as bad as squad mate armors but they are close. As for weapons textures the Valkyrie was easy, but time consuming. The Typhoon was both difficult and time consuming. Glad you guys like it. Posted Image

I seriously doubt installing IE10 was the problem.

I wouldn't be surprised. Microsoft likes to sneak things in with IE updates.

Thanks for that Dead_Meat. We will continue waiting for that "Dark Edition" for Ashley. Posted Image

I guess that's a hint. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. And just so I understand, you guys want the blue parts of her armor darker?

Those are awesome.

Hey guys, just a quick update on my project. I managed to get some work done inbetween studying, and:

Alpha V2 is now out
EDIT: Seems I messed up the original code. The link above is to the fixed version. If you did install the broken version, then everything went okay up until the DLC patch, then a message should have come up about an IO.FileNotFoundException. If that's the case then this 5mb patch correctly fixes the problem. Just download and run. Sorry about that.

Just like V1 there's an automatic patch program and this time you do need to use it. Copying across the files manually WILL NOT WORK! So don't try it. Just look for the ME3 HR Project.exe file (it's got the renegade logo) and open that up. The reason there's so much extra files in there this time is that I needed to mod a DLC pack (Retaliation) and I had to use some external code for that (thank you AmaroK86).

Some of the changes:
- Tali's Default Outfit @ 4096px added - by JeanLuc761, with a few modifications
- Brute @ 4096px added (for MP and first 3 occurrences in SP, fixes black texture bug) - by smarteck
- Fixed Marauder black texture bug in MP (contained in Retaliation DLC)
- Fixed Liara's appearance in weapon/ power select screen
- Increased save limit to 200
- And other stuff (check the changelog)

There are also some changes to the patch program, which solve some problems that some people may have been having. As per usual, let me know if there's any issues stopping you from installing/ running the mod.

@smarteck and DeadMeat (or JeanLuc if you're reading) : In my patch program I've got you guys listed under the mod makers with your BSN avatars and a link to your BSN profile pages. If you want me to change them to point somewhere else or whatever, just tell me and I'll change it in the next version.

Background: A few weeks/months ago, someone did a texture for the N7 Destroyer that cleaned up the display for "destroyer mode."

Question: Has anyone done this for the geth engineer/trooper/infiltrator "hunter mode"? I'm actively seeking such a thing if it exists. There's just too much distraction there to enjoy it.

I whipped this up in less than five minutes. HUD mods for the classes are about as easy as they come. You can just black out what you don't want basically. So here is a clean Hunter Mode mod. Basically all the BS in the HUD save for the center triangle has been eliminated. I wanted to leave something that indicated it was active. I can't do anything about the lighting change or the "blur" that it does as an overlay. Those are not done via textures but lighting effects in the game's engine. But I think it's a lot better. Yes, the mod is super tiny.

You can get it here.

And I was just thinking about it and decided to relocate the triangle to the upper right hand corner. And I made it smaller. Again I just wanted a visual indicator that it was enabled.

I think that detail in the design of your program is very cool. But do not worry about me, my interest is that all the textures I've shared, can serve as many people as possible. :D

I wish you luck in this project, as I see it take a lot of work.

Thanks.;)

I have been having problems with ME3 crashing during gameplay lately, anyone else been having these problems ? I can play for quite some time, but suddenly ME3 either just hangs and I have to kill the process or I get the ME3 crash message. Just curious if anyone else have noticed this, if not it's probably something on my side.. Maybe I should look through the textures I'm loading again. Or maybe it has something to do with me running fraps while I play. I'm capturing quite a bit to get materials for a video I want to create.

Have you checked your memory consumption while you play? Maybe you're maxing out your resources and crashing.

I had that problem before when I used MODs which contained textures in JPEG or PNG, now I only use those with DDS (OPTIMIZED 2) and I have not see that problem anymore. :D

Or maybe you're carrying too many textures.

If it's MP footage, then your problem is retaliation, which has a giant memory leak.

It sounds like your borderline on the number of textures your running. That's how mine acts If I'm over the line on that. I try to keep the number down to around 50 or so.

Hi.
Using the texmod to install 1.5Gb takes too long. After I get a timeout from the EA server and cannot connect to ME online features.
So is there a why for me to integrate/overwrite the ME3 original texture?

I was thinking with some of you modders that have dabbled with the "underwear" models of the Shepards:

Can scars be added to those models akin to the scars on a renegade or "paragade/renegon)" face?
