I share an improved version for the Turian Havoc Soldier and Ghost Infiltrator in 4096x4096 :

Saludos ;)

Good to see some MP love.

Hey guys, it's been awhile and I meant to get around to this sooner, but I've finally got the Volus MP characters done.

Welcome back ;)

@saltisgood - "the program is trying to copy across a file that doesn't exist. since the file in question is ..." you know the rest..... what do you mean by this?

I need more information than that to be sure of the problem. But, what I'm going to guess is that the next part of that message is about the file being appended to? And I also take it that this happened in the V2 version of the mod? I guess you didn't go and read the project page. The way I've designed these mods are such that you need to install each version sequentially. It's unfortunate, but it saves me making and uploading these massive files each time.

Go to the project page, and this time read the description. Then go and download the V1 version and install that first.  So to answer your question, what I meant by "Try installing all previous versions first" is to "Try installing all previous versions first".

In the future go to the Bug Reports section of the project to report problems. It helps me keep track of what's going on.

PS: Re-reading this post, it seems a bit antagonistic. I'm not trying to be mean, but you should read information about a program before you complain about it not working.

EDIT: And what's with this alternate appearance DLC? I didn't hear about it at all before today. Looks kind of cool, though I doubt I'll be buying it.

I did read the page, just i misunderstood. i didnt know that i was suppose to download V1 too. i only downloaded V2.
Thanks :)

One of us will get to it. I'd like to do the Cerberus one but I'll probably put that off for awhile. I'd much rather do Garrus's first.

From tomorrow, I will work with that of Liara and EDI. :wizard:

Looks great, does it work with Volus NPCs in single player??? I don't think anyone did one.

I'm not sure, my HDD got wiped and I've been holding out on a SP playthrough until Omega drops.

To the
OP, your work is astounding, I really hope BioWare or EA will pony up
some funds to you and find a way to wrap all of your hard work into a
single DLC that can be applied for PC users who are less than able to
read long walls of text or follow the necessary steps.

Amazing work, really amazing.

Thanks...
It would be great Bioware support us in this, but they are in silent about it and it seems that they will not say anything. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]
We are alone in this, but together (the gamers) have already made good progress. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

I have already downloaded this pack, now I'm repairing the EDI suit, and as expected, the textures are poor quality, I've resized the main file, I have drawn over 100 lines and now I'm stressing the circles, if all goes well perhaps today may have to EDI and Liara ready.

Saludos ;)

some dumb questions:

1 - Do the v1 & v2 mods only change the eight or so specific characters or is there some broader impact on textures across the game?

2 - I will have to reinstall these as I "updated" ME3 by mistake - screws stuff up pretty good - had to go through a repair to get everything working - any chance of making a cumulative mod instead of serial mods so we only have to run one file?

3 - Concerning texmods: There are getting to be so many I can't keep track - it was ok back when JeanLuc's mods for ME2 were all I had to deal with - wouldn't a central repository (or at least bundling these) make sense?

4 - Finally, why doesn't texmod hit MP framerates like SP - or does it? Server lag is bad enough...

I've tried to keep things as ordered as possible, on this occasion there are many more MODs because the textures are worse than in ME2, therefore, almost everything needs to be improved. :pinched:

But it simple, you just comes into the game and when you see something you do not like, looking at the first page or asked and someone will tell you if there is a MOD for that.

You talking about my thing?

1. Every change that my mods make I list, either on the project page itself or in the Readme.pdf file inside each version. Things won't change unless I say I changed them, which of course at the moment is not much. So there shouldn't be an impact across the rest of the textures in the game, except for the few textures that go black when I change the LODGroups. Those are only a couple of characters and I'm progressively fixing them.

2. Once I get sufficiently far into the project I *might* make a cumulative mod. The problem is that I'm limited by file size. I can only post a 200MB file. This sequential patch system eliminates that problem. But at the moment there's not much point since there's only 2 to run and I'm progressively releasing more. And yes, turn off automatic updating in Origin.

I don't really get what's the big deal about running 2 separate patch files rather than 1. I mean they take a maximum of a like 20 seconds to run and you don't do anything yourself.

Thanks - will probly just download a bunch to get started - still I would bundling some of these (at least MP) makes sense.

Very impressed with the work so far btw...even with a very good video card, framerates take a hit from texmod - would be nice to not to need it generally...

Isn't a big deal - and I wasn't aware of the file size limitation - just seemed a cleaner way to go in the abstract - sequential patches work for MS, they're fine here...

besides, I said they were dumb questions in the first place...;)

About the new EDI,

What do you think of replacing the default brown metal with this new black with perforations?

I think you are confusing your self. MP may lag with servers (ping), yes, and it doesnt effect your performance on framerates.

If you would like to know how fast is your internet, use this. for exsample, if the ping is 22ms, it mean 0,022 secs of delay. the ping will increase by distance.

I don't mind the color change, but I liked the super sleek look of the original texture. It was very unique.

What you've got is very good looking, and it's probably hard to find a texture like the original that doesn't look low res, but I really liked the original concept if it can be preserved.

Agreed.  Leave the hexagonal pattern for fabric.  I actually like all the new armor with the exception of 1) Low Resolution and 2) Cerberus Logo.

If the armors were just made higher resolution and kept the same color scheme and design (an also removed the Cerberus Logo) then it would be perfect in my opinion.
