Also: Any chance we'll see work on James and Kaidan's armors (the ones just like the new Ajax armor) since they're the same model? Those are my favorite squad armors in the game. I'm hoping

Is there any way to put Eva Core's 'skin' back on EDI, so to speak?
I'd feel less awkward trying to help Joker hook up with a voluptious tin can, were that possible.

Hi,
I just started playing ME 3 yesterday and began to install some of these Texture-Mods (many thanks to everyone, who made them!), but there's one thing, that makes me...
I mean, look at this:
Does anyone have alternative Bitmaps for explosions? This looks like Half-Life 1 in Software-Mode
Is it at all possible to replace them?
Dead_Meat357 wrote...
The explosions don't look that bad
on my machine. What settings are you using in the MassEffect3Config.exe
utility that comes with the game? Not all the options are available in
the in-game menus.
The game is completely maxed out. Means the lousy ingame-options as well as the config-utility.
My specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 (4x3.2GHz)
16GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 560ti 1GB
Win 7 Pro
Runs smoothly at 60 fps (even with the new textures - and this screenshot was taken before I installed them), so I think it's not a problem based on my hardware.
For comparison here are three screenshots from ME 1 (unmodded since Steam restored the installation) & ME 2 (with texture-mods, but only for characters).
Personally, I'd be very glad to see, if someone of you may could improve these bitmaps/sprites/whatever it is
I love to make screenshots with much action in them, but not when it looks so bad.

In theory. the design of the textures should be the same, if so, I can fix those two armor too.
But first, there is something that worries me more, so ask for help:

I really want to edit and create a HD pack for Omega DLC, but my Bioware Points balance will not let me, and the DLC comes out tomorrow.
ONLY for those who can help, paypal: movilfredy@gmail.com
I can put from my part the time, desire and passion for the ME series, but I'm missing credits.

Now everything is in your hands and thanks...

Would you make a version of Garrus' new armor with blue lines instead of the red?
Of course.. give me a moment...
EDIT: False alarm, the red lines are always displayed .. later with more time I will try something different.

How fast you reckon you could get the Omega HD pack done, if you get enough credits for it in due time?
Structural textures and objects are fast to edit, armor take some more hours, but hopefully not take more than 2 or 3 days maximum.
I recommend them wait to have the HD pack to play the DLC, it's much better to play with HD textures that the game has a default, the impression is completely different.

Thank you smarteck and Dead_Meat357, really looking forward to use the alt armor pack ingame. I've been waiting to use this until this pack was ready ;D Wish they could have released armor for all squad mades in the same package, but guess they get more $$$ by splitting them up
I had nothing to do with this Garrus mod. I simply didn't have any time to work on anything this last week. I got started on it and got slammed with work. At present I can't complain because I'm just lucky to be employed. Much less working two jobs.

Will Liara still have the mask on her if I choose the squadmate helmet off option?
No. It will however add the helmet to squad mates anytime you are in an area that doesn't have breathable air in it. Mars is a good example of this. Additionally combing Smartek's alternate appearance pack with Liara's alternate armor mod may replace his breath mask with mine and vice versa depending on what order they appear in Texmod. I did not include the breath mask with the From Ashes DLC armor though.

You can not change the color of those as they are applied in the lightmap file and are simply beyond our control. I learned this with the Terminus Armor.

I thought about fixing that myself. Just taking his mod and doing just that to restore the original look.

Gah, I take back what I said, the Ajax is not the same model as the other armors. Tried splicing your Ajax texture (with my own edit to make the yellow parts blue) over ELE08's James digital camo armor mod. Did not work out:

The scaling for Shepard and Vega should be different on that armor. Vega is physically larger than Shepard. The only exception to this rule involves the Defender Armor as these are both interchangable.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but it seems your high res Citadel textures also replace textures elsewhere. In particular the scrolling computer texture replaces computer screens on the Normandy, and elsewhere. This is particularly noticeable on Glyph (the info drone in Liara's office), where he now seems to have two segments of scrolling block text all jammed together and it looks pretty ugly. It also appears to show up underneath the keyboards on the Normandy (if I recall correctly), and gives them a green underlay texture that really conflicts with the default texture.
