Disable UAC Secutity control and disable your Antivirus and then, try again..

if i run the .bat file as admin the UAC problem should be solved or do i rly have to set down all my security programs (-> spybot/avira)?
edit: is it normal that i get the dialogue  "Files renamed! Please start now your Mass Effect 3 in Origin." twice? so if i push any key it comes a 2nd time

i set texmod.exe, masseffect3.exe and mass effect3_tmp.exe on the ignore-list..
just one last question: is there a difference between using me3.exe and me3_tmp.exe?

Hi guys, first let me say I really like all the effort you've put into fixing the terrible job BioWare did of optimizing textures for the PC. It's really great.

Unfortunately, though, when I use Texmod to compile all my .tpf's ( I am attempting to use almost all the files posted here, except for the multiplayer-specific ones ) the game crashes out of black screen mode after about 9 minutes. My specs are the following:

8GB RAM (1600)
i5 3550 3.3GHz
Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB OC Edition

And a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. Now I tried the fix of editing the coalesced.bin to allow for 4096 resolution textures, but that didn't change anything. I also made sure that Origin in game is off.

My own hypothesis is that either I don't have enough RAM or VRAM to load everything, which I doubt, or that there is a conflict between a couple textures that I downloaded. I am going to test now if that is the problem. I'm just posting here in case anyone else has any advice or ideas. Thanks.

Your system is fine to run all of that. Only thing I can think of is setting MassEffect3.exe to use more than 4GB's of RAM with Large Address Aware

Check how big your file is.

Haven't checked this thread in ages but wow, so essentially HQ texture packs have already been created for all levels in the game?

Yeah, although isn't having that much loaded at once a bit of an overkill? I'm more into multiplayer so I load no more than 30 mods at once, so my PoV might be different

Is very easy, go to skydrive site: skydrive.live.com/ and right click over the "Mods For Multiplayer" folder and select Download (use your Hotmail or MSN account for that).

I think you also have to mod your ini so you don' get the black tetxures bug. I had over thirty mods and certain things where pure black, did the ini fix in your OP and that got rid of it.

It's not a _horrible_ limitation. Just make a set of core files applicable to the whole game and run things like Utukku, Horizon/Vancouver, Wadres' Rannoch textures, etc. when the game needs them. Unless you play for 20 hours straight you're going to turn off the game sometime anyway.

Yeah for some reason using all the optimized plus the master file for environments causes a lot of crashing, but the game still loads. I'm going to try playing without the environments.

I believe GPR is part of the "Geth Forces" pack

While I'm here, would anyone consider making or know of a (similar) high res version of this mod? I really like the design but the resolution is a little disorienting.

I mean the N7 version by the way.

I think it's because of RAM limitation for MassEffect3.exe, all I needed was ''4GB Patcher''. Even Origin works good with that ''hack''. :D
