Oh yeah. Thanks for fixing that. I like never used Kaidan but before Christmas my sister saw that gold on her playthrough.

Just a quick request - can we get the Grissom academy uniforms? They're very similar to the alliance / cerberus uniforms but with red and gold.

Also, could we get Ashley's armor to match Kaidan's a bit more?

Doing the Grissom Academy outfits would be easy. A simple recolor of existing alliance uniforms and recoding the file names would work. As for Ashley's armor, the answer is no. I do have a new version in the works but it will never match Kaiden's. It's not supposed to. For one thing they two armors are very different. Secondly the people doing the mods have very different styles. We aren't using the same materials in the modding process.

Though the helmet on the latest version is actually more like Kaiden's as it more closely matches the original.

Just want to also put out a request for more civy stuff - casual outfits for every race are generally in horrible resolutions.

That would be a no.
When you extract the files, you need to extract all of them. I use WinRAR and do it thusly:
- go into the directory that all the parts are located...
- highlight all the files at once
- right click over once of the files and select extract here
- job done!
Your crashing is likely occurring because the .tpf file you have is incomplete.

Thanks for the help but still didn't work.  I ended up just downloading the environment files separately.  But then ran into another problem......load time.  I was waiting for almost 20 min and ME3 still didn't load.  Is this amount of time expected for all of the mods to load?

I got my problem sorted for the black textures in regards with the cerberus units. Deleted my coalsced.bin file and let origin repair it self. opened the coalsced.bin again. changed the vallue from 2048 to 4096. Loaded the mod and was able to see the texures again.

What do you mean by only opening part 1 for extract the content? You mean only extract part 1, but put them in the same folder? I'm confused. Image IPB

Also, I saw this somewhere, and now I can't find it, what do I do if it's crashing?  It's not my computer, my computer can run Skyrim with higher resolution textures than this and an ENB easily.

Edit: Oh yeah, and it crashes before I ever see anything, including main menu, it's not from overuse of my CPU or something like that.

I'm having the same exact problem.  I know for a fact my computer can handle this.  I keep either crashing or loads forever and never starts.  Is there a limit to the amount of mods?  I thought I read that you can run all of these with the specs that was listed

Have you people with loading problems tried using the LAA patch that allows an executable to use lots of RAM? I can't remember if I needed it, but it (probably) can't hurt.
Also, if all else fails, try uMod, which is the new texmod. It is far from a glorious problem but it fixed multiplayer for me.

Hey guys, two quick questions.
I was thinking of installing Win 8 Pro x64 on my desktop and was wondering if there are any issues with running texmod or even Origin with that OS.
Also, will I be able to still play Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2?
Thanks in advance.

mmh, i have 8gb RAM and 1,280GB of VRAM, i tried to use almost all mods but i crashed after the verification of the dlcs....how to fix?

Origin Overlay is disabled?.. also try renaming the file IGO32.dll to IGO32backup.dll (inside Origin installation folder, close Origin first ).

Check the RAM Consumption in your PC, pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc go to tab performance. All the MODs together can use more than 7GB together with normal Windows programs...

Let us know if you fix the problem...

Yeah, overlay is disabled....i'll try renaming that file, thanks for the help. Also, i removed some unnecessary mods, now i'll check if it works

uMod is a piece of crap. I've never been able to get it to work with Mass Effect 3. And in looking at it I think the developer got way too ambitious with the application and it's goals. It doesn't seem to get the basics right. It also has a lower limit for .TPF files than Texmod does. (According to error messages it generates when loading them.) That's the last thing I'd want.

Some mods are not compatible with each other. For whatever reason they'll cause issues together. I can tell you for a fact my M-6 Carnifex and M-77 Paladin aren't remotely compatible.

I have Win8 Pro X64, and haven't had a single issue running anything so far.  ME 1 and 2 actually run better under Win8, IMO.  So far I'm liking this new OS, and haven't encountered a single problem with it, or seen that "difficult learning curve" that seems to be blathered about.

You shouldn't have any problems, but there's always the caveat that it also depends on the specs of your rig.

Texmod won't download. In fact, the download page says this:

Gateway Anti-Virus Alert

This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: IRCbot.az#nspack (Trojan)

 ! .... Your antivirus should be throwing false alarms.

Download from here: www.fileplanet.com/205418/200000/fileinfo/Texmod-v0.9b

Or here: skydrive.live.com/

Saludos. ;)

Or not?

There's a problem with the file on mediafire. The download stalls at 2.5/581 kb. Click, "Your download has started. Problems with the download? Click here" on the next page and it throws the anti-virus warning at you.

My computer is fine, thank you.

I totally agree that uMod is crap compared to texmod, but I used to crash everytime loading multiplayer.  With uMod, it doesn't and as far as I can tell, all the textures are loaded.  I take that as a plus on uMod's side.

Ahh yes, the "memory limit" . I don't know where it gets that from.  You just have to play its game and fiddle with it.  I load all current multiplayer textures at once, so that's a good 20 at least.

It is a finiky program and definitely second to texmod.

Uh... I'm pretty sure your computer isn't fine, dude. I just tried to download the file off MediaFire and it downloaded perfectly fine.

Considering how you are the only user on this entire 150+ page thread that isn't able to download Texmod due to a supposed "virus" I think it's a safe assumption to say that there MIGHT be something wrong with your computer.

If you want, install TeamViewer and I'll see what I can do from my end.

Until then, I'd suggest doing what Smarteck suggests: Download Texmod off SkyDrive.
