I don't know if this is the right place to be asking about this but- I downloaded the 'always' version of the Ashley Bun mod from a page back, but for some reason it only seems to work when she is in her casual appearance :s When she's wearing her armour, she has the default hair mesh, but what looks to be the modded textures.

I tried using the just combat version, but that doesn't work at all. I followed all of the instructions and have not had any mods like this installed beforehand, so I didn't need to update my PCConsoleTOC.bin file. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: Looking at it again, her combat hair actually looks like a messed up mesh?

Ah, thank you for the detailed screenshots – that makes figuring out what is wrong in this case 1000 times easier! Image IPB That first screenshot is leaving Earth, yes? That it works in this one means that her BioH_Ashley_00_NC.pcc/ non-combat bun (as Ashley doesn’t actually fight on Earth) is working fine. So the mesh has at least partially made it into your game. Image IPB I would recommend that you restore your CookedPCConsole, PCConsoleTOC.bin and PCConsoleTOC.txt from a back-up and try overriding the files again. If this doesn’t work you might have to manually update your PCConsole.bin using ME3Explorer (don’t worry – there is a link to a great tutorial in the readme! Image IPB)
 
Note: Please also test this on a clean run with a completely new character first e.g. I use default ManShep for testing. I know it’s inconvenient (sorry! Image IPB) but it should minimise any interference while we figure out what’s wrong. If you have any more problems or questions please PM me and we will work through this together! Image IPB

I made him non bloody, because thats what I preferred. However, if someone wants a bloody version of him let me know and I'll post that too.


I'd like it if the armor had some grime or wear. Not necessarily blood (although that would certainly be satisfactory), just anything to make the armor look like it had already seen some action.

Thanks a bunch for your work. The texture as is remains a huge improvement over the original as far as I'm concerned.


Hey thanks man, he took a little longer to do than I would have liked, but I think the end result looks good. 

I can get you dirty or grimy version of his armor probably sometime tomorrow. I'm gonna do the Citadel DLC tonight so I probably wont have time today.

Has anyone here been having problems with texmod and the new DLC? I keep crashing on the first loading screen everytime when using texmod, doesn't matter how many mods I'm using or what res they are. Very confused as to why this is happening since I was playing with loads of textures loaded on the previous mission and everything was fine.

No, but had a ton of FPS drops. Particularly annoying in combat.

I'm not going to rail against them, i'm using one myself, but performance of them in conjunction with Texmod has always been a bit of a hit & miss.
One moment they work fine, then they don't and sometimes there's no problem at all during the entire lifetime of the card while using Texmod.
Sadly, there's no sure fix for that problem.

Nope, Nvidia. Looks like i'll finally have to get into texplorer if I want some of my high res textures.

Put out a quick fix for the casual outfits for kai/joker/cortez. I'm dumping them in a pack atm, seeing as they are specific and ONLY for the Citadel DLC. Download in this project. This pack will be updated everytime I find something I can personally 'fix', so whoever uses my casuals, keep an eye out.

I'm hearing alot of weird issues from some people trying to run mods through the DLC though. Don't know what's going on tbh.

@people: Thanks for all the comments on the Garrus alt armor, glad you guys like it =)

Just a small progress update on Jack’s tattoos before I dive back into Citadel (SO much fun! Image IPB). I’ve finished the diffuse for the entire body (although the top part could still use some work – damn, those skeleton hands are tricky! Image IPB) Here is shot of how it is looking so far:

Right now I am trying to get her high resolution face texture to blend with the high resolution texture of her head but I am having no luck at all! Image IPB You clearly see the seams above. I’d really appreciate some help with that whenever anyone is free! Image IPB

Okay even replacing the textures with texplorer is causing me to crash. What did they do in this DLC that would cause textures replacements to crash the game?

May have to do this DLC with *shudder* vanilla textures :(

@Church0071 It looks very very slick sofar. And yeah the sh|tty thing is that once you touch skin, it's nigh impossible to get it where it's seamless again tbh. The only suggestion I could make is to keep the seams from the original texture, slowly ease the HR back in with the original on both textures near that seam and see if you solve the seaming that way. There's no cleancut way of doing this afaik, it just comes down to a bucketheap of trial and error.

As to my own endeavors in DLC-land atm, I'm replacing the dress-texture (Femshep) somewhere close to the start with one of my own creation (because I just HATE the plastic one). It's almost ready for release and will be featured in the NPC Citadel fix, seeing it's Citadel only.
Without spoilers, roughly this is the back / front of the retexture I'm doing, so you know what the model will look like if you were to use the texmod once it's released. (And for those wondering, yes it also replaces the texture for NPC's, it will also preserve the original colours, I've just remapped the pattern, so not just a 'Femshep texmod' so to speak).

@ FFZero Have you edited your Coalesced file? Some of the editing in the texture area of that crashes in DLC.

@Church0071 Jack is looking fantastic! No advice sorry since I'm not a texturer but I can't wait for release :)

@ Ottemis I really don't know what Bioware thinks when they give us Femshep clothing, but I love your fixes for them.

I agree!

Texmod has a huge performance reduction in certain areas, even on my current config, which is in by no means bad.

I5-750 @ 4.3
GTX 670
8GB's of RAM

I imagine though with all these textures it would be time consuming, but the reward... :innocent:
