@KjGarly:

That happens to me some time ago several times.. and suddenly doing nothing was solved :P

I think was a EA Server problem, i do not know..... and now I´m editing Citadel DLC and Texmod is working ok.... maybe is something about the texture loading time.. maybe Origin is the problem...
try disabling Origin in the game, Renaming igo32.dll, disabling notifications, auto updates.. etc...

Good Luck !

@KjGarly:

Is that the one where it says you're not connected to ea, and nothing you do can connect you? If so, either wait and hope as smarteck suggests, or try uMod. Texmod > umod for now, but it fixed it for me sometimes. Depends on how many mods you're trying to load.

All that said, might as well try right?

Took me 7-8 mins to launch with 56 mods. That's unacceptable. Going to see which are worth keeping.

:lol::P.... try removing MODs for structural material, like "Master File C"...

Not sure what that is, I don't think I got it. But the largest one by far is the leviathan pack.

OR another technique could be not loading absolutely everything every time. I wouldn't need the end Citadel stuff until I'm near the end of the game, likewise I wouldn't need leviathan until I got to that dlc.

 Ok, I think I've finally finished Garrus. This mod includes his Default Armor and his Helmet.

Yup - that Garrus is sexy. Definitely going to be using him every playthrough.

The default's armor looks sort of like tin pans...

Speaking of Talimancers, if anyone would like to play a game of forum mafia: link.

 Me too. I've actually got a project in the works that Talimancers should like. Been working on a couple other cool things of late, but soon I'll be getting back to the Tali one. :wub:

Hey there. Great job on the textures, this is really great.

I looked through the first post several times, but I can't find an answer to my questions, so here they are:

1. Where can I download all Textures in one pack? I only can find a Zona C and a Zona D master file, but what's with alle other textures?
2. When loading such big textures, wouldn't it take almost forever for texmod to load them all into the game? And that before every start of the game?

Thanks a lot for help :)

For 1: There is no massive pack tpf file, but you can download a lot of MODs in a single zip or rar file from Skydrive (link and instructions are in first page), also you can addd  a big amount of tpf files to Texmod in a single Open time (read first page).

For 2: Every time you use Texmod need to wait, becouse in the black loading screen Texmod is sending all the new textures directly to your Video Memory before the game start, so.. when the game need some of that textures your PC will use that HD textures already in the video memory and not that lowres textures from the game folder.

;)

//////

Ah, okay, thank you.

Yeah, I am familiar with texmod (modded ME2 a lot), but I thought that probably would have changed. It would be cool if there would be an option to overwrite the textures forever.
Even if you only retexture the squadmates textures it takes some minutes :/

Hey everybody! Wow – I can’t believe this thread is almost 200 pages long! Image IPB Thank you Smarteck for all of the amazing work you have done so far and best of luck with your Citadel DLC project in the future! Image IPB

Progress report: All of Jack’s tattoos are done and with a LOT of help I have managed to eliminate the seams between Jack’s face and neck textures – yay! Image IPB The only problem now is the bit of hair which clips through the top of her hair. Image IPB Unfortunately this is also present in her original texture so I can’t remove it completely BUT I will try to match the colours more closely so it is less noticeable. Image IPB Here is a picture of Jack’s (now seamless – yay!) Face and Neck textures now that all of her tattoos are done:

Image IPB

Many thanks to Ottemis for your great tips on removing seams (so useful! Image IPB) and to Tarkov33 for all of your help and support! Image IPB Also thank you to the awesome The Darkest Soul who is currently working hard on the difficult cloth/leather etc. textures for this mod! Image IPB

Hmm, I was about to ask this myself, surely a complete overwrite is possible? I don't have much modding experience but maybe all we would need to know is the exact file name before doing the replacing. I can try testing it once I get home.

edit: actually, looks like saltisgood already made a thread for this purpose!

That won't work since the textures are filed under one big texture file.

But I found something some of you might be interested in:
http://social.biowar...m/project/8589/

This projects loads the textures forever into the game and uses a lot of smartecks texture mods.
It takes like an hour to load all the textures into the game but afterwards the game starts as normal and the ingame perfomance is better too.

So take a look!

I love this idea, however right now it's missing all the enviornment textures, which is the one file that I would love to be permantly replaced.

So that problem with the DLC not authorising was down to a mod/s. Been working my way through them and sorting out the ones that work and testing a few each time. So I can now at least carry on my game with those lovely HR textures :D

@Refara Thank you! Image IPB Tell me about it – I am so happy that The Darkest Soul kindly offered to do the High Resolution version of her clothes because there is no way I could make anything even half good out of those original textures. Image IPB That requires WAY more skill than I possess! Image IPB Yikes indeed!

@Ottemis Thanks! I could not have done it without your helpful tips! Image IPB

Ok, I've done some more work on the Asari Adept. (I believe she can be used for the vanguard too)
I did one where the fabric had more texture, but I don't know if I like it. I kinda like the plasticy look.
I tried to improve her skin, but that's really hard. Doesn't look much different :(

Opinions? Improvements? (buckles and straps)
EDIT: Original is on the right.

Thanks smarteck.
I suppose the main bits I'm interested in opinion-wise, is should the clothing have fabric texture or not?

The buckles don't look good enough to me either, and neither do the straps, but I don't know what to do with them :(

ETA 2 weeks to holidays and my Mass Effect 3 is geared up with the latest HD textures, MEHEM v03, self modded Coalesced.ini and all DLCs for the biggest playthrough of all times!
Just waiting for the Citadel HD Pack now.

Smarteck, you, and of course all other HD texture makers, are really doing an awesome job here, I wish to thank you for making the best games of all times even better. Keep up your good work! (I know, the Mass Effect thing is kind of over but the first two games could also use some more HD here an there :D)

Anyway, Bioware studios could really use a guy like you to get thier vanilla overhauled!
