Well thanks to smarteck, he got the Hi rise tex for the Reckoning armor and i also like to extend further apologizes to everyone for giving you a hard time with this. I know i didn't start out nicely but i like to share this mod with everyone as to make it up for my behavior. if you still don't want to use it then no problem.

So big credit goes to smarteck for this request.

It was mentioned there was a hi-res mod for Inferno armor. Was it posted in the previous pages somewhere? Thanks :)

That's very nice of him and you, thanks. And for the record, I don't think you needed to make up for anything

I just want to say thanks to all those who made all these textures possible. I just got textmod up and running with a whole bunch of textures and I am really impressed. Pat yourself on the back, good work!

I'm having some trouble loading save games when I use Texmod.

If I try to load just a few things in Texmod then the game works fine and the mods appear in game. However, if I load my total of 38 mods I get a message at the game menu screen that says the game was unable to authorize all of my DLC and therefore could not load saves or allow me to play single player.

Does anyone know if there's some simple fix or explanation here?

I think it has something to do with Origin. I get this a lot and it really pisses me off, because I have to restart the game and wait for the load up time all over again. That's the only way I've found out to fix it right now unfortunately.

Also, on a related note, the black screen that comes up while TexMod is loading the textures doesn't come up right away for me anymore. In fact, the application for the game itself doesn't even start for about 5 minutes or so, but the process is definitely starting (and Origin says I'm playing Mass Effect 3). So I don't know what's going on, Origin's just being really weird right now.

I tried Visionazzery's suggestion and it worked. Granted, I've only done it once now, but I was able to load up to the maximum of 40 mods and play the game.

Thanks for the help!

smarteck, am I right that you didn't release the Javik optional armor yet ? I just want to make sure that I didn't miss it somehow. I'm currently doing a triology playthrough with capturing, finished ME1 and I'm at a pretty early stage in ME2 still. Will be some time until I'm ready for ME3, so currently just preparing all the textures I want to use when I get there.

I know some people don't like using the Reckoning armor cause they think it doesn't fit in the Mass Effect world. I guess none of you have ever played Warhammer 40k cause the Reckoning armor reminds me of those Chaos Space Marines with spikes on them. And what do you think Your Shepard is, A Space Marine.

Well, I dont like MOST of the armor in ME because it is all clearly medieval and a tie-in to swords and sorcery games (Hate those games.  Hate hate hate. Redundant, all the same, silly).  The blatantly medieval armors that popped up were just too much for me to bear  I don't even like SEEING they're available in a sci-fi game.  It just screams "a dragon and a wizard and a king are going to show up next".

I'm going to assume you mean the Blood Dragon Armour in ME2 and 3 and the addition of the Reckoner Knight in ME3. Which is two out of 18 in ME3 and 1 out of 10 in ME2 assuming that you have all of the pre-order bonuses, unlockables, etc. I wouldn't exactly call that most and while they may not be to your taste (or mine) there are clearly still people for whom it is.

Hello,

Question:

If in our time, is used "BC" and "AD" to describe before and after Christ, in the Mass Effect universe is used the same acronym?

EDIT: Can be Council Era "CE" ?

Well, if they are a religious character (like Ash) they'd definitely still use it. But the aliens and probably all the other humans wouldn't use it that much I think.

I think CE for Current/Common Era sounds a little more modern and more appropriate. But I don't think that it would matter all that much (assuming we are talking about humans alone).

You got that right, hell, if i get something from it, i might paint the reckoning armor texture as a Chaos Black Legion.

Well, finally after weeks of work I think I've gotten to the point where Jack is releasable. Before anyone brings it up, I know she's got seams on the back of the bandings on her arms. I've been trying to fix that for awhile and nothing I've tried has worked. So if anyone knows what to do there, please let me know. Huge thanks goes to JeanLuc for all the work he did on Jack for ME2 and to Church for a really good port of Jack's tattoos for us to use in ME3. Enjoy.

Nice!

Looks really good. Glad to see all the time you and Church (and of course ME2 source Jean-Luc) put into it.

Definitely worth it.

No ALL the armor is very medieval.  The full plate-armor like body armor, the shoulder armor, "greaves" (THAT screams medieval!), etc.

Big, clunky, shoulder armor that constantly runs into clipping errors in game and would, in RL, drastically restrict movement and mobility - and cause SERIOUS injury if you did any rolling or quick movements with your arms.  Minimalization is best for armor design.  Medieval plate covered EVERYTHING in the most restrictive, weight-maximizing way possible.  Such knights were easy pickings for anyone on the ground once you unhorsed them.  They couldn't move, couldn't see, they died in droves (Agincourt was the demise of such silly and outdated armor - the lightly-armored Brits kicked the sh*t out of heavily armored French knights).

I get it, Bioware has mostly done nothing but swords and sorcery.  Their bread and butter before the one-off ME games was kings, knights, thees and thous, my lords, my ladies, blah.  When they went scifi they carried over ALL the typical dungeons and dragons, sword and sorcery cliches because it is what they know.  Thus ALL the armor in ME could, with VERY little alteration in texture, be used as medieval armor in a swords and sorcery game.  Many biotics ARE the witches and wizards of the stereotypical nerd dungeons and dragon knockoff.  They even bring "knight-errant" into it via Samarra who is a sort of Knight Templar chick.  There is a LOT of medieval-stylings in the game because Bioware is essentially a dungeons and dragons only game-maker.  They branched out into a scifi dungeons and dragons vis ME.  I'd just like to see fewer D&D medieval stylings and more reasonable designs.  I liked the game overall but it always sat at the back of my mind that I'm merely playing some silly swords and sorcery game with lasers.

THIS is modern FULL body armor and (outside of bomb squad types who wear REALLY cumbersome full body gear): www.safeguardarmor.com/miltac/  This is still uncomfortable, heavy (but WAY lighter than some kind of interlnking heavy plate), heavy-duty but flexible/bendable fabric.  Riot police can wear full-on protective gear similar to plate armor...but much smaller pieces and made of plastic.  Protects against rocks and sticks but not bullets.  To make it all bulletproof would render the cops as vulnerable as old full-plate-armor knights of old.

Can you say the same for Bioware's other games like Star Wars: KOTOR? That was Before Mass Effect came along.
