There's no fix for it, at the moment; it could be tweaked in Widescreen Fixer but it's not a priority for the coders. Our ideal solution, I think, is for someone to figure out how ME3 Explorer actually bloody works, and start recompiling pcc files with higher-rez textures and simply replacing the files in CookedPCConsole wholesale.
Seems to be coded in C Sharp with source readily available.
What exactly are you looking forward to modify in this program? Maybe I could take a look.
Cheers.

Which program, Explorer or WS Fixer?

Agreed.
This thing is ridiculously awesome! Does anyone know
how to get in touch with the creator? Maybe he could add some sort of Batch update device. I don't think we will be aloud to post updated PCC files.

Your textures are truly awesome. There's only one issue. I can't run the new Citadel look with the Normandy interior at the same time or the game freezes and crashes. Even just having Citadel and Normandy in use results in a crash so I have to save, exit game and pick just one of the mentioned texture packs every time I want to leave the Citadel and go back onto the Normandy. That's a bit frustrating and with a loading time of roughly 5 minutes (I use 400 MB of custom textures) every time I fire up the game... well you get the idea. XD
Aside from that, everything works like a charm. Keep up the good work, your texture really make a huge difference.

OK. I'm not such a good hacker type. Can someone make the new file to handle 16GB 2200RAMM and post it?smarteck wrote...

A 64-bit application can handle memory equaling 2 to the power of 64, whatever that is.
Not sure how to write a simple explanation for it.
I also have 16 GB of RAM, however, since Mass Effect 3 is only a 32-bit application it can only use 4 GB of my 16 GB.
Just did a test and loaded up all the high resolution textures I could find. The game crashed and I was using around 3.7 GB of memory, with some of that probably being reserved for some purpose.
Some might say to use virtual memory to allow more RAM. However, that's only if you run out of total system memory (100% usage). Still need to deal with the programming constraints of using 32-bit code. Only Bioware can fix that. It would be up to them to implement a patch. I know some games that have been converted from 32-bit code to 64-bit code to allow for more memory.

Why can't you just run LAA and select MassEffect3.exe and hit Apply? It isn't rocket science, buddy. My little 12 year old brother knows how to use LAA.

I'm really not sure! My very first act when I saw it was to hunt down the female Alliance BDUs and try to replace Ashley's casual with it, but I've only gotten as far as decompressing pcc files, haven't been able to accomplish any actual change of any kind. I learned about it from a post somebody made about switching Tali's picture texture for another image, so I know it can succesfully be used on textures, but again, I don't know how. Which, for datSilencer, is my problem; I can decompress a file by drag+drop on the Decompressor exe, and then open it in the GUI by selecting the PCC editor and then opening the uncompressed file. But selecting menu options like "import" or "replace" seems to have no effect, and trying to export a texture yeilds tiny empty files. I'm simply not sure how to use the tool to change a file, much less get that file back into the game.

LAA, or Large Address Aware basically allows a 32-bit program to use up to 4 GB of memory.

EDIT: So I'm running Mass Effect 3 with all of Smarteck's currently available texture mods, as well as some high resolution weapon mods made by some other user and my current RAM usage according to Task Manager is 2,640,472. Not bad!
If only BioWare just included these textures to begin with we wouldn't have to slap an alpha/diffuse layer on an existing one, which would mean less RAM usage!

To be frank, I figured a HD pack was going to be sold as DLC for about $10 or be part of a package deal for a small mission add-on.
It seems that we can forget about official HD package.
