I noticed no Asari textures for MP?

I did an asari adept mod that works for (I think) valkyrie and everything else that uses that model. It's not super top quality, but I think its better than stock.

Thank you, will check it out

Let me know what you think. I'm not entirely happy with it, so any suggestions would be nice :)

First of all, thanks for all the great work - the game looks 10x better now.

Has anyone tried using the textures from page one of this thread in conjuction with the Mass Effect High Resolution Mod (http://www.quasarts.tk/#!me3/cby2)? Was wondering if they were compatible. Thanks again.

I know the quasarts guy doesn't really document nor credit what he's using in great detail, but I'm pretty sure the bulk of the mods featured in the OP are packed by quasarts. I'd suggest poking him on his own boards for a complete list of the mods he's used from here.

ok I will ty to explain this high resolution DLC idea I talked about before.

since you guys have prepared those pcc files and your way is to simply replace the pcc files with same names in the vanilla \\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\CookedPCConsole

why not making a sfar file like this? using Javik's DLC as an example

Posted Image

Using 7zip to pack the pcc files that contain high resolution textures. if successful, the game will load the high resolution DLC and the textures inside. but there is this problem:

Posted Image

I don't know how to edit this file. with notepad, I guess this bin is a list of files in the dlc's cookedpcconsole

if this DLC method works, it will be much easier to install. we don't have to worry about damaging / losing original files in ME3's vanilla cookedpcconsole folder.

Ciao. :P

That TOC.bin file is the same kind of thing as the one in your BIOGame folder. It's just a list of the files with their file sizes. You can open it in the TOC.bin Editor in ME3Explorer if you want to edit it manually, which you'll have to do if you want to do some DLC editing. So anytime you edit a package (or any other kind of file) in a DLC your process is to:
1. Extract the relevant files AND the TOC.bin file
2. Do your modding to the files
3. Fix the new file sizes in the TOC.bin file
4. Import all of the files back into the DLC.
^Texplorer now does all of this automatically so you don't have to bother with it yourself if you use that.

Creating a DLC would be a bit more tricky but you could potentially do it. Frankly it's a lot less trouble to just back up your files.

Smarteck and me wanted to share another idea we had.
So here it is: A HR 4096 Px Ceberus Skin for Liara.
This skin will be part of an Wallpaper i'm planning to do, so stay tuned for news from me.
Anyway, here is the most recent version available for download and some screens.

smarteck; great work. I've been using your mods for a while but I just discovered that the last update to Origin must have broken something since the renaming method of loading ME3 through texmod no longer works properly - the mods load but the game will not authorize any DLC. If I start the game without texmod, everything works fine. So I'm guessing Origin is detecting the tampering done by texmod and doesn't connect ME3 to the authorization servers.

So I'm wondering - any chance of you or someone else packaging these mods in a ME3Explorer MOD format?

Well works fine at my place here (also had an update on origin)

In that case I have no idea what the problem is, but I do know that the renaming method used to work fine up until the last time I saw an Origin update, and now it doesn't work on my computer at least. But if I start ME3 without passing the game through texmod, it authorizes everything correctly.

In any case, the ME3Explorer method might be preferable for most existing HR texmods anyway since it avoids having to choose mods on every load, and neatly bypasses the insane loading time penalty incurred by texmod.

You're probably loading in too many which makes it take too long before you get to the authentication check.
Some .MOD repacks of Smarteck's tpf's can be found on the me3explorer forums. Be very aware of the versions of mods though. Any mods created before version 473 might not work with the newer revs, my advice is use the latest REV (SVN) or the latest SF and donwload Antarius' repacks, he's got a thread set up with a link to the repacks.

Hope I can help. Some eralier pages I had the same problem, just go back a few and see if it helps you too.

Easiest way is to start up the normal way you would with texmod. After the splashscreen and you arrive at the "press any key to continue" you stop there, and don't press anything yet. Tab out, click on origin and set yourself in offline mode. Now go back into the game and continue, if it doesn't say anything about DLC not working, then it's all fine. This is what is mentioned in the first page with "if texmod doesn't work"  Worked for me so far.

I don't know if this works for single player, but if he wants to play the multiplayer with these high res textures he'll need the tips on some previous pages.

Hi guys, I wanted to show you a preview of something I'm working on. This head works for all the Asari in the series except for Samara and Liara which I'm currently working on and why I'm not releasing the mod today. I'm hoping for sometime this week though.

Thanks! It's taken me longer than I thought to get these done, every time I think I'm done I find something else I want to fix. I'm crossing my fingers for soon though.

Looks fantastic. Any chance of their noses getting that texturing?

Thank you. Sure, I could do that. I was trying to keep the nose smoother than the rest of the face since it's exposed and all that. But it might look better if it's the same as her cheeks.
