Yea Ive bypassed it completely. Ive got a legit version of the game but not all the dlcs so you can probably presume what Im getting at. However I jsut went for a shower, and It had loaded up, I read that the new menu apparently doesnt go above a certain res, my base res is 2048 so that might have casued it, Also move the load order of master fiel zona c down a bit, took some random bits of texture out but it loaded fine. Going to retry downsampling again. And than if all goes smoothly, sweetfx mod.

Ok.. let me know if you need more help...

Saludos. ;)

Will do my friend, I was at my wits end, begging my computers machiene spirit to make it work. Lmao. Im not sure how long exactly it takes, but its working now with downsampleing,  I would love to try the sweetfx now but am nervious that it might muck something up

EDIT *

Ok so I got sweetFX up but the image is a little off. Take a look: n42UqfD.jpg

The left is unmodified and the right is sharpness reduced from the original value to 0.75, blood and HDR on, with hdrs birghtness reduce to 1.00 instead of 1.30, no cineon DPX. I find the image to be a bit dark and still a little too sharp and orange looking, was looking for input on recommanded changes to improve visibility ?

Thanks in advance.

to fix the dark image, disable Curves

to fix Sharp, reduce Lumasharpen

to fix Orange looking,  go to TONEMAP and change DEFOG from 0.20 to 0.0 (Disabled) and the game will be blue again.

Hello! I hope this hasn't been asked before -- I sifted through the thread and didn't see anything like it, but if I missed it, I apologize.

I downloaded and installed nearly every mod by you and Ottemis, and installed them via ME3Explorer's TPF/DDS Tools with no issues so far. Everything has worked fine...

... EXCEPT for the Javik default outfit texture. His alternate, black outfit retexture that you did works perfectly! Just not the default one.

So, at the moment, all the Protheans in my game look like this:

nVFeq9L.jpg

Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried reinstalling the mod via TPF/DDS Tools a second time, with no luck.

EDIT:  If it helps at all, here's the results when I bring your Alternate Appearance and Default Appearance mods up in TPF/DDS Tools.

COSkhq1.png

I'm assuming the problem is the Default lacks the "Norm" bit, or it's an issue with that FORMAT error?

(I'm a newcomer in this forum, and I apologize for my bad english)

I applied the Citadel HD mod version 1.0; everything went well, except for 2 textures:

- The team selection screen had to be a picture of the Citadel, but I see something like a red cross on a yellowish background - sorry, but when I tried to take a screenshot my PC crashed badly.

- The new mail icon in the combat simulator got messed up; I only see many green pixels.

About Javik's outfit retexture:

It looks like both normal and specular map refer to the same thing. I solved this by installing an older version of this tpf (sorry, I don't remember where I downloaded it; it's been lingering on my hard disk since long ago).

Do you still have the older TPF that you could reupload, as a temp fix until Smarteck can check things? If not, I'll hunt around myself. :)

@BaroqueOut

Well, after a short search in places where I often download ME3 mods, I found it here. Look for Javik_Default_(smarteck_v1.2).tpf.

Downloaded that file, and it didn't have the "MIPS" and "FORMAT" errors that the original file (from this thread) has.

But now, Javik's default armor (and the other Protheans') is just solid black.

:( I guess I have to reset to vanilla and reinstall all my mods lolll.

Try and fix your PCConsoleTOC.bin (by using TOC.Bin Updater) after installing mods. It usually works for me.

Checking in one more time!

  1. I reset my game to vanilla, installed nothing but the Javik mod from the first post of this thread. Still broken, I still get the bright glowing bug.
  2. Ran TOC.Bin Updater. Still got the glowing bug.
  3. I tried installing the file Yabberkanaw linked OVER that. And got the weird black bug.
  4. Ran TOC.Bin Updater. Still got the black bug.
  5. Reset my game to vanilla again, and installed nothing but the file Yabberkanaw linked. Worked perfectly, textures displaying properly, no glowing or black bugs, etc. Everything looks great.

So it seems like not only is there an issue with the default outfit Javik texture file linked in the first post, but it apparently breaks a file, and can't be fixed without totally resetting to vanilla. On my end anyway! Not sure what's going on, but I thought I'd report in for the more tech-savvy people.

Important thing is that I got it working. Thanks again, Yabberkanaw. :)

@BaroqueOut

You're welcome. Modding ME3 is NOT like modding Skyrim: it's a gamble. I had to revert to my original game backup many and many times before getting almost everything right, and I still have some issues, as I noted some comments before.

I want to use Mass Effect 2 HD MODs Pack 1: .

How to use it?

Hello, is the same steps like in ME3... you need create a bat file for cheat Origin/Steam and put the Texmod.exe file in your win32 folder.. here the instructions (from first page):

__________________________________________

2. Now the textures in High resolution:

To use these textures, you need the software TexmodDownload
/// Users of Windows 8.1 set Texmod in windows XP compatibility mode. ///

Instructions for dealing with Origin:

- Put the file Texmod.exe in your game folder Win32 (alongside the game's executable.).

- Edit this file with Notepad: https://www.mediafir...658s2bboj58c0hu

- Change the 5 times the path where you have installed your game, for example on my PC is:

  D:\Origin\games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32\MassEffect3.exe.

  Put your right installation path.

- Save the changes to the bat file (like .bat not .txt)

- Open Origin.

- Now run the file MassEffect3.bat.

- Press Y and then Enter key.

- Start the game FROM ORIGIN WINDOW (it will open Texmod)

- Press a Space bar 2 times on the window of MassEffect3.bat (the window will close)

- Now you can use texmod, first select the game .exe file (MassEffect3.exe) pressing the big folder icon, then the mods you want to use (.tpf files) in the middle small folder icon and press Run.

Tip: you can select several tpf files dragging the mouse over them, I think the limit is 40. I add 63 MODs in two loads.

After press RUN the game will take a few minutes to start (loading black screen), depending on how many simultaneous MODs you have loaded and the speed of your PC (my time is 9 minutes with all the Mods).

I think so. This MODs only change the look, do not modify the mechanics of the game. :D

• Hi, sorry if already answeared, all of this mods are still only for TexMOD?

Not 'fixed' for ME3Explorer's TPF Tool?

• And there are still new mods being posted here apart from Cinematic Filters?

Hola Diego!

For my part, I only support the use of Texmod, because I had bad experience with ME3Explorer, but that was my case, maybe for others it has worked well...

My latest addition to this post, was the customizable Cinematic Filter. With that, the game is now practically more than covered.  B)

Maybe you can find more TPF files edited for ME3Explorer in their official forum: http://me3explorer.freeforums.org/

Also check the post of Ottemis: http://forum.bioware...ods-by-ottemis/

Buena suerte.  ;)

I can't seem to get the Zona C mod to work. Every time I try to load it into Textmod, it makes ME3 stop working. All other mods work great, it's just that one. Did what the instructions said, only the first one but even then, same deal. Anyone had this issue before?

Crash in loading time (during black screen), at the end of the loading time or in-game?

If crash in loading time (black screen):

- Disable In-game Origin Overlay

- Maybe you are using to many MODs and you are out of RAM

If crash in-game:

- Maybe you are using some NOT OPTIMIZED MOD

- Be sure you are using the last "Master file C" version

To prevent crashes in-game, prefer use these files marked like "OPTIMIZED 2".

Let me know...

When I put the tpf file into the textmod list. I'm able to put all the mods in and have them work in game with no problem. Just get a Mass Effect 3 pop up that it stopped working. I also tried another HD mod for the environments and it worked with no problem, even when I put it on the textmod list. I have 3gb VRam & 16 gb on my comp so I'm not sure what's the issue. Everything in Origin is disabled.

Edit: Got it to finally work somehow. Weird that it kept doing what it did. Muchas Gracias for your time in replying. Awesome mods!!!

Hey, I'm using the ME3 Cinematic Filter, looks great although a little bit like watching a 3D movie with no 3D glasses. xD

Using the forced Ambient Occlusion with NVIDIA Inspector is useless or can brake the game when in conjunction with the ME3 Cinematic Filter OR the ENB Dinamyc Bloom Effect MOD?

Hi!

First of all, thanks for all these mods! It's pretty amazing to see such a community improve a game like that.

I installled the cinematic filter and some of the texture modifications (such like N7 armor for my femshep and mod C). I encounter 2 problems:

- With the cinematic filter, everything seems to be "burnt" with too much light. My shepard skin looks like beeing a vampire... How can i restore a little amount of colour on her skin and make the world less "white filtered"? I saw on the first topic pages you were talking about a fxaa tool, but it doesn't seem to exist anymore on the new package you did of the ENB + sweetfx.

- I've some big problems sometimes: a texture "raw" picture appears in front of the whole game, with some little transparency. I can see through it but i can't do anything than reload the game and reload everything with texmod to make this "raw texture picture filter" to disappear before another picture come after a few minutes. Since there, it's always a different picture wich appear on my screen. I can't manage to get some screenshot so i can't really show you the effect...

I tried to attach to this message a picture of the kind of "raw" picture i intend to talk about. This kind of texture picture just "appear" in transparency in front of everything. I i try to press escape and have the menu, the menu just pass over the texture file wich i still can see on the background.

texture.jpg

Please, anything i could do to make this phenomenon to disappear?

... You can reduce the Chromatic Shift filter editing effect.txt file (read the instructions in that MOD). That filer is very popular now, is used a lot in the "Next-Gen" games... you just need to adjust that to your preference:

No problem in that... you can force AO with NV Inspector and use any other visual MOD.

Saludos. ;)
