If you look at Ashley's leather armor in the squad selection, there's a Spectre symbol on it, but in the gameplay it doesn't exsist. This tweak would be a nice, at least showing consistancy to the story.

Yeah, they aren't very detailed. Essentially they look more or less like they did in Mass Effect 1. The only thing that would concern me with regards to retextures is possible performance problems. You never really get that close to them so it's also something most may not attempt because it isn't something most will care about. And in the prerendered cut scenes, we can't change how they look anyway. So we'd only really be able to alter how they look while they are stomping around on Thessia, Earth and Manae.

I've found the textures, are the same type as those of Wrex - Wrev, is not so hard to improve.

I made the attempt to 2048x2048, but on screen, the texture is too pixelated. Then I extension to 4096x4096. In 2048 is not worth it.

How much sharpening / enhancement are you doing to those? I know you increased the resolution, but how much sharpening did you do after that? I kind of found the same issue with the M-96 Mattock. At 1024x1024 it wasn't much of an improvement over the stock texture. At 2048x2048, it looked a lot better.

Some of the default textures in the game are definitely worse than others from what I've seen so far. The N7 Defender armor is fairly horrendous, plus it's hard to work on. James Vega has the same armor, but both his standard, and the desert camo alternate have nicer textures.

I try to use just enough to cover the imperfections of the original layer (on the occasions in which they must retain some of the original data)

I've been using the M-3 Predator texture. I hadn't really thought about the Tempest as I really don't use submachine guns. Screenshots for it look amazing though.

i would love to see high res textures for the first level of the game the one with shepard and anderson, thats the ugliest part of the game, from aderson's face to the clothings, buildings, everything

In terms of guns that need it the most (and that I actually use) the M-6 Carnifex or M-77 Paladin are good choices. I'd also like to see the Black Widow modded as well. Out of those three, the M-6 Carnifex needs it the worst. It's textures are aweful.

I'm making nice progress on Ashley's armor BTW. (I think anyway)

Hopefully people can actually tell the difference. I'm not really trying to change her, I'm just trying to make the texture look sharper, and more detailed.

You're right, the vanilla textures are really aweful.  I'll start on the M-6 Carnifex next.
