Cool! When you done with your Defender pack, i would be happy to try it out untill Smarteck will post his. I´m sure you done a great job too and that your Defender-Pack looks cool
. Thank you!

Yes, there is a batch file which will do the work for you. Edit: I might add that every time you wonna play ME3 in High Res you have to start Origin (Disable "Origin in game" in Origin-Settings) --> Then start the Batch file (Which start the Texmod app) --> Insert the texture files there ---> Then hit "Run". It´s fast and don´t take much time but you have to do this every time in this order. Otherwise ME3 will not have High Res or even worse you get a problem (Crash maybe)
The script can be found here:

Also there is already a preset batch file as a zip for download available. Just make sure to adjust the path´s matching to your system. Here you´ll find the zip file:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9735492/11 (DieVarieties posted it...alternatively just scroll to page 11 in this thread. You´ll find his post around in the middle of the page.)

I´m, for example, a total newb in this. It´s my first time ever i´m using a mod in a game. Not kidding. I read the description from Smarteck plus the batch-file "manual" carefully, especially the notes what to do if problems occur (!). In my case no probs so far. Uhm...btw....i read all 31 pages here
. Then i decided to give Texmod a try.
Anyway, the batch file doe´s all the work for you. You just have to add the downloaded tpf-files (Smarteck´s Texture files) into the Texmod application (Package-Mode) and then hit the run button. Viola´ ! Enjoy ME3 in High Res!
You see, it´s very easy
!
Well the Defender textures are just hard to work with. The main things I've done is clean up some of the bleed over on the shoulder "screws" that blur together and just look terrible. There is also a grain to the surface, which you can't see very well so I've brought out those details. Shepard's is the worst, and Vega's simply looks better. His desert camo one is actually the best of them in that regard. So it should just be sharper and a little clearer. When combined with Smartek's default N7 Armor textures for male Shepard, the helmet textures he created are carried over to the Defender. So that's a nice touch. Kind of a freebie for me in that I didn't have to jack with the helmet at all.
Typically I simply enhance the standard texture through various means I've picked up and make them look a little better. Smartek goes further than that often replacing aspects of the textures with more detailed ones, or doing new textures using the original as kind of a framework. At least that's what I've gathered from the discussion and from the videos, and the textures themselves after seeing them in the game.
As I learn the tools for doing this, and try different techniques, I'm starting to do the same thing. I'm really starting to reall make some progress on Ashley's armor in that regard. It's easier to work with the Defender and will be much more "major" in terms of improvements when I'm finished with it. I think my other work looks better than the stock textures, (which isn't hard to accomplish sadly) none of it has that "earth shattering" difference Smartek's work has. At least not yet.
But as I said, I think people will be pleased with the work I'm doing on Ashley once I make it available. I'll keep working on the Defender as it's one of my favorite objects in the game, but it's not easy to manipulate. But as I get better on easier one's like Ashley's, I'll be able to step it up with the Defender.
Here is a preview of what's going on with Ashley's new textures:

As you can see, the raw metal looking parts have been retextured as the stock textures are pretty bad. I've got to clean up the lines, etc. and do the rest, but you get the idea.
