I was wondering if someone could fix the costume of Captain Anderson, , looks completely awful, and I know this is very easy to fix (I think Admiral Steven Hackett uses the same file, dont know) This will be a huge improvement for the intro

agree, anderson could use some better textures, specially his face, the intro of the game is the ugliest part

Is there a single file containing all the graphical updates that you just unrar in game's folder, you know like other mods are done, as a complete package?

No. Texmod is required to modify the game. The game was specifically crafted in such a way as to make modding through conventional means very difficult, and for all practical purposes impossible. (It's not really, but functionally that's what it amounts to.) The way Texmod works, there isn't much they can do to stop us from doing things like this. Texmod actually replaces the textures in RAM and because this is a system level thing, EA/Origin can't really do anything about it.

It would be nice if we could just replace the textures the old fashioned way, but sadly that's not going to happen.

Smarteck no sabía que hablabas español, yo también, soy de El Salvador, te agradezco mucho por tu esfuerzo, la verdad es que has mejorado mucho la calidad de Mass Effect 3 yo soy diseñador gráfico sé utilizar bien el photoshop aunque no tengo idea de cómo crear nuevas texturas para texmod.. Me interesaría aprender porque también tengo algunas texturas que aborresco de este juego y que aun no han sido arregladas como el traje del Cap. Anderson en la intro y el del Almirante Hackett entre muchas otras..

Me parece excelente que con tus conocimientos estés pensando en reparar texturas. Yo no sé casi nada de diseño gráfico y solo he estado improvisando un poco, por eso sé que he cometido errores en el rediseño de las texturas. :P

En la primera página del post (al final) deje los pasos a seguir para editar las texturas y además un par de videos que ayudan bastante a comprender como hacer esto.

Now to my current problem running ME3 first time together with FXAA v1.3:

I´ve expirenced an issue today with FXAA. I wanted to give it a try, so i´ve downloaded the 1.3 version. I unpacked it and copied all files in the correct ME folder, where also the ME3 executable is. I´ve started FXAA to take look at the settings, saved them and ended FXAA then.
I wanted to play a couple rounds MP at first before i start a SP with FXAA & Texmod. But surprise, the ME3 game won´t start anymore. I got an error message saying, that ME3 is no longer functioning. So i´ve tried this to find the error:

- Repairing ME3 via Origin --> Effect: None. Only the same error message.
- PC restart --> Effect: None. Only the same error message.
PC restart + Repairing ME3 via Origin --> Effect: None. Only the same error message.
- PC restart + Repairing ME3 via Origin + Starting ME3 without FXAA --> Effect: None. Only the same error message.

Info: During all the failed tests running ME3 with FXAA, i´ve started ME3 with Admin rights.

So ´ve deleted all the FXAA files and folders from the ME3 folder (You know ....ME3/Binaries/Win32) and restarted the PC. Then started ME3 again....viola´! ME3 runs again as usual.

Is it possible that the conflict occurs maybe due to the d3d9.dll file from FXAA? Because FXAA works only with DX9 (According to it´s readme.txt file) and i´m using DX10 (Latest DirectX10 drivers installed). And my graphic card (ATI 5770) is made to work with DX9, DX10 and also DX11. Otherwise i have no clue why using FXAA causes my ME3 no longer to function. With Texmod alone ME3 runs smoothly.

Any ideas?

Yep, found that out too just shortly Posted Image. I was so dumb to forget to turn it off.....eieiei....shame on me for beeing so dumb Posted Image Posted Image. Problem solved.

A little downsize is that even with ingame settings brightness set to max it´s still a little dark. I know that you wrote in your manual to experiment with saturation and bleech (Was it bleech?). I´ve not experimented with that yet but maybe i´ll try it out tomorrow.

The important thing is: FXAA & Texmod runs fine now and the textures, skins, everything looks even more better now. I wasn´t so sure to try v1.4. That´s why i tried v1.3  at first. So far it satisfies me Posted Image.

And yes, when Anderson´s HR-Texture is available i´m gonna get it too. Again, very nice work with his formal uniform Smarteck!!

Smarteck, creo que ya entendí cómo crearlas, aunque no entiendo bien el último paso, el de guardarlas para poder ser utilizadas, explícame bien eso, trataré de mejorar las texturas de los reapers, a ver si la encuentro x) (no los "Ships of the Reapers"), sino del tipo que mata al niño.

This topic just makes me so extremely disgusted and angry with Bioware.
They are definitely my worst developer now, and I never thought in those terms before about any developer.

I've just done Priority: Geth Dreadnought, but I'm considering putting the game on hold until smarteck has finished his playthrough and updated all the textures!

Thanks for all your hard work on this, it really enhances the quality of the game experience.

Fortunately, I'm on my 5th time through the game. Really I just spend most of my time updating a texture, then testing it. Of course I've only made minor improvements until my work on Ashley's armor. Though I can't quite find a color / texture I like to redo the blue parts of her armor in.

I agree wentworthmeister! Geth Dreadnought has the worst graphics in all game.. Have you seen the walls? the floor? specially the parts with lots of cables... the shadows of the cables looks disastrously jaggy... I dont think they are shadows after all, maybe they are a texture layer hidden somewhere, with a very bad resolution.. A replacement of the floor's texture with darker colors and more bumping would help a lot hiding the horrible shadows.

23. Anderson Formal Suit with Skin for Head + Neck + Hands in High Resolution 

NOTE: Today i was not in good health and were a couple of things I discovered after finishing all :P, but still looks much better than the default. This package includes Anderson's Formal Suit (clean), the Dirty Suit and includes HD skin for the head, neck and hands.
