Hey Smarteck, something I was messing around with last night, was I took the Formal Alliance uniform you made, and I matched up the texture codes for the Earth Council. Now it's by no means realistic, because a lot of them have different military ranks and such. Also the Council doesn't have that Alliance insignia on their uniform, but this version does. However, since this Earth Council is only around for around 5 minutes, it probably doesn't matter what their uniform looks like.

Anyways let me know what you think, and I'll send you the link to the package I made.

Funny thing, the lady on the left actually has a different texture code than the guy on the right. They are not the same uniform. Even though in the game, they look the same.

Coloring is a bit different, I might have had the FXAA mod turned on by mistake.

Ugh. One thing I just noticed. Their hands are white instead of the color of their skin.

Your idea is excellent. Just lacks the correction of the hands of men and women. How are you going with that? :mellow:

I'm not sure. The textures are an exact copy of each other. The file size is identical. Yet, some of the uniforms have white hands, while others do not.

Edit: It seems putting your textures at the top of the definition file seemed to fix it.

Formal Alliance Uniform HR 2048 w/Alliance Council and other people who were there during the first level.

I use FXAA injector in BF3. These new high-res textures look simply amazing. I'm keeping a eye on this thread. Do you plan to do every texture in the game? That seems like a lot of work...

My idea is, as I go in the game (yes, even I do not finish the story mode), I intend to be corrected all that is needed.

For example, I started the mission in the academy, and take the structural textures (walls, doors, pillars, etc.) and in a couple of minutes I converted to the High Resolution, and I have no doubt that like the textures of the Normandy and the Citadel, are used in multiple levels of the game.

These new textures of the academy look great, but I have not yet published in the post because I'm just at the beginning of the mission, tonight I intend to finish this mission and if all goes well, I will share in the post.

Ugh, sometimes I wonder why I play a lot of games on console.

I mean, I have a hard time getting headshots in MP.

And it's PAINFUL to see these beautiful texture mods for ME2 and 3. Look at Miranda...damn.

Good work, man. Even if I can't fully appreciate it.

Most of them look okay, however, when you get a really close up shot of one during a cutscene, it looks really bad.

This is a 512x512 texture, however it seems to have major pixelation and stuff. It's one texture as far as I know. I found this during Samara's mission when you're in the room with the bomb.

Here's a link to this texture. Included are all the Texmod *.def files as well as the texture.

A user sent me by PM some textures unedited and one of them was a creature Reaper, and only for test, I opened the game and I find the textures of the most common human-like creature, the blue .. and now I'm editing, I think it might be, I'm almost done, I'll try it and if it's worth the change, I will share in the Post later.

By the way, the humanoid creature is finished, turned out to be useful, it looks much more real and ... fleshy :sick:

I'd like to help out, but I failed art class in school. That is not a joke. Perhaps I could optimize some textures for you (smaller file size). I'm good at that. I actually converted all your 4096 textures for the characters down to 2048. Memory usage is way down. With every character optimized, I'm running around 1 GB of memory. Before it was around 2.5 GB worth of memory usage. This is excluding the Normandy and Citadel textures, which take up a lot of RAM.

Just curious as to how long it'll take the load the game with all currently available HR texture from this thread loaded.

10mins? more? I remember loading the ME2 HR textures, nevermind the framerate and gameplay, the loading took around just under 5 min and with nearly all of my 4GB of ram power.... that that's with 2048 resolution textures.

I'm... I mean this looks awesome, but somehow it looks like unless these HR textures are internalized and streamlined with the core game....

Seems to be a lot faster with Origin than Steam. When I first started using these textures, took me roughly 5 minutes. However, I actually optimized some of the textures, and with them, it only takes about 10 seconds to load everything.

I'm currently uploading the optimized versions that I modified. The RAR archive is around 140 MB or so.

Although, I had some trouble doing EDI, because whenever I downscaled her textures, it came out messy. It has something to do with the big file (I think they call it a normal map). So I just left that as 4096 resolution.
