I sent you the download link for Ashley's texture if you wanted to add that to the post. Appreciate the addition of the M-98 / Black Widow mod as well.

hey you guys, I'm working on a super project, yes, I'm depixelating the Reaper Destroyer, it contains 12 textures (main, lights and reliefs) each one at a resolution of 512 x 512, it's a hard work converting these to high res, so I will be absent for about one week or two. cheers!
That sounds like a lot of work.
Good luck and thanks.

I've started a retexture, but after running a quick test the new packaged texture has a shiny chrome finish, I presume there is a Alpha problem but i don't know how to fix this.

It's an issue with the lighting layers / maps. Usually if you color match the new texture with the old ones you normally don't have too much of a problem with it. However, if you change the color, it will always look wrong. Wadres and InBleedingRapture can tell you more than I can about it, but this is what I've learned doing my own mods. In fact on Ashley's retexture, the colors I used are much lighter than the originals, and though they are lighter in the actual game than the originals (to some extent) they aren't as light as they appear in the actual texture.

Very nice work on that one, though I have a question - did you move the Alliance symbol or is in the same place as the original? Because it seems oddly low there.
It's in the same spot. I noticed that too, actually. I think it looks different because the original was much more distorted. Because of texture wrapping issues on the mesh, that's really the only place I can put it where it doesn't stretch or look funny.

It's fine. Does it include the damaged version for the prologue?
Not yet. What I will do for now is just replace the damaged version with this texture, until I can add some scratches and blood stains, etc.
Also, I just experimented with moving the logo up and a little more to the center and it looks much better.
Thanks for the feedback, man. I will post these changes as soon as I am able.

As far as I know the combat fatigues do not change from the prologue to the rest of the game.

I ended up getting the photoshop plugin for DDS files, and saved as 8.8.8.8 no mip and all is well, texturing is a go. I'm working on Ashley Williams casual armour, first attempt with ME3 so I may take a little longer i.e. week.

At the prologue, during the first Reaper attack, Shep gets a little beaten up, and the outfit gets a little torn up and bloodied.
Folks, you guys convinced me to keep trying to retex, I've started something simple, to get up to speed with photoshop again (its been years since I last used it properly).
I'm trying to do the Vindicator, I'll let you know how it goes.

Here's a great, public domain texture resource if you want to do replacements or overlays: CG Textures
It helps a great deal to have a bank of textures to work with.
