I'm not sure how long it is before the system will allow you to post images, but when you can, it's just in simple BBCode.

If you have texture mods to contribute, you can still post your project(s). This is a great group for ME3 textures, as well: Mass Effect 3 Texture Mods

***EDIT***

Forgot to post an update on my male Shepard's "combat" fatigues outfit:

Download v1.0

***UPDATES***

- New specular/light map that more accurately reflects the composition of the armor's materials.
- Moved Alliance insignia up and more toward the center. The default was too low.
- Sharpened base texture.

***VIDEO***

Check out the video of the outfit in action on YouTube
- Best viewed in 1080p, of course.

Nice work. I need to enlist your help on specular / light maps for my work.

Not a problem. Anything in particular you'd like to start with?

Well Ashley's my biggest mod so far. I'd like to start with that. I've also made some minor changes to her helmet, so I need to release an updated version of it anyway.

Hey guys. I tried downloading these texture mods but they don't seem to be working. I used hi-res texture packs for ME2 and they worked fine, did the same thing for 3 but they don't seem to be working properly. When I click "run" on texmod it opens ME3 just fine but none of the updated textures load up. Can anyone give me some insight to my problem? Help would be appreciated.

Edit: I also tried option 1 and 2 to try to get texmod to work, just so you guys know and aren't about to ask me if I am using texmod right XD.

You opened Origin, did the whole renaming process for MassEffect3.exe? Do you have file extensions enabled in Windows?

texmod is already an application. Do I need to name texmod into "MassEffect3.exe" or "MassEffect3 with the file extension ".exe"

in other words, the texmod I put in that folder should be named VISIBLY as "MassEffect3.exe" or "MassEffect3" ? because I just named it MassEffect3 and left out the extension since it was already in that format.

you don't have file extensions enabled then.

Tools >> Folder Options, click the View tab, uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

You should always have file extensions enabled by default for modifying modern games, and it also helps to judge a file by its extension rather than the picture of the icon

So, I unchecked "hide known file extensions" and now everything has an extension behind it. I redid what it said and they still don't work (I was using the alt menu backgrounds because it would be the fastest to test). Should I be clicking "run" in texmod after loading up a .tpf like I have been? Or should I be launching from somewhere else? I'm kind of running out of ideas.

Edit: If I were to try the batch file method, after I make the batch file, where do I put it? (it turned into that gear symbol whcih I assume is correct)

Put it in \\Binaries\\Win32

Yes, you run Mass Effect 3 by clicking "Run" in Texmod.

Do you have admin privileges on your computer?

Just rename the files normally. I had the same problem as you, but the trick is that when you rename the files BACK to their original names you have to leave the texmod window open.

Then run the game via the open texmod window and the packages will load.

You have to do this every new session you have with ME3

It's unchecked already =\\.

I've been closing the texmod window before moving the origional ME3.exe back in because if i didn't do that it wouldn't let me overwrite it. I'll try just shuffling files instead of overwriting now.

Chriz, do you have Team Viewer? Install it, then add me on Skype. NEILTHECELLIST is my username on there.

Be right back though, I need to shower after a long day's work.

Thanks for the help guys, killzone's solution worked for me.

Also, when I used the textures for ME2 I was using the entire pack (containing everything). I heard that Tali's HD textures work from ME2. Does this mean I can use the entire pack? Or do I have to go download Tali's texture SPECIFICALLY?

Edit: Addressing the MassEffect3.bat workaround to avoid renaming the files every time I launch the game, do I just leave this .bat file on my desktop or what, do I need to put it anywhere?

Are you not reading any of my posts? I already posted where to put it. Technically you could put it anywhere, but for consistency sake, put it in \\Win32 already.... Read the whole thread.

Evidently you missed Killzone's post too the first time around...

Killzone, the batch file is posted in the opening post on the first page of this thread... Why don't you guys actually read the first post before asking questions that have been answered already before?

Apologies, I had read it but hadn't got it to work, initially. Found my error, I have an extra Mass Effect 3 sub directory that I had to put in the path.

I actually was writing my post during the time that killzone posted his, so yes, I was reading. And as for the batch file, I clicked on the link and it only said how to make one, not what to do with it. Try the link yourself.

Duh, I'm the one who WROTE the damn link. YOU read it. Why would you put anything NOT in \\Win32? It's common knowledge that texmod related stuff either goes into Binaries, or in this case, it's subdirectory, Win32.

You can stick it anywhere, for your information. Don't know why you needed to ask a question that you could've answered yourself by just testing it yourself. Do you expect everyone to just hold your hand? And why would you want to wait minutes, possibly hours, for an answer that you could get just by testing the file yourself in under one minute?

I am not experienced with any of these programs. You don't have to be an elitest ass about it because you wrote "this and that." This is a forum. I asked for help. I got it. I thanked you guys. I don't see the problem. Chill out, maybe you should be outside instead of tinkering around with all this stuff, you'll feel better.

Also, if you made the batch file in an attempt to help people you would think a guy like that would have a better attitude towards helping people.

Edit: As for "testing things that would take me a few minutes." Some people actually have lives and don't have time to mess around with files trying to figure stuff out. I posted questions so I could know exactly what to do...WHEN I GOT HOME. Yes, believe it or not, I went out of the house and was not at the liberty to do testing. If I was in the position to do it, I would have. But, I assumed you guys had the answers so I asked instead of wasting my time later.
