I was searching and maybe there is one way but I'm not a pro and because of the poor documentation (which is maybe because it is still in development) I don't know how to use it. this is it http://social.biowar...911/28#12196575
There is a short pdf tutorial how to change a texture but I don't understand it.

I have reviewed that application and it works, but only with low-resolution textures (1024x1024 max). Still does not support high resolution textures. and is very complicated to use :(

According to some words from the creator of the application, it is necessary to replace each of the textures for the different resolutions, for example, by default the game uses 4 different 128x128, 256x256, 512x512 and 1024x1024. the 4 need to be replaced and if so attached the high resolution, we would have to add 2048x2048 + 4096x4096. :pinched:

After understanding that, I think Texmod is excellent. :D

It is only necessary that the PC has sufficient resources. Even with 51 simultaneous MODs, ME3 load faster than ME2 with only 19 MODs.

Textures working 100% fine here, very little hiccups in game play (there's a couple places where the frame rate drops a fair amount, but 98% of the time it's silky smooth).

SPECS: I5 750 @ 3.8GHZ, 5870 1GB, 4GB RAM

I'm just curious though, is there a high resolution texture for the alliance casual armor (female) that doesn't recolor the blue lines to yellow on the shoulder area? I'd really like a blue version!

Yeah I would really like that as well for female and male.

Added M-77 Paladin. Nothing too fancy. Mainly cleaned it up and retextured it. The new texture makes some nice improvements, but isn't earth shattering. (The original texture isn't really all that bad, but as a fan of this weapon I thought it could use some improvement.)

Download

See the project.

Yes, it's certainly possible. Though the file would be fairly large. If you place all the .TPF files in one directory, you can load them pretty much all at once or in groups of about 20 or so without issues. Just hit browse, hold the shift key and highlight multiple files.

Not all systems may be able to handle all the mods at once like that. It does depend on your resolution, levels of anti-aliasing and system configuration. But the mods, even optimized, still add up to more video memory getting used. As a result, some lower end systems that may be able to handle a given resolution now, may struggle with all these mods loaded at once. Also, the game's start up times are drastically increased. I'm running around 50 mods and it takes my machine about 2 minutes to load them all before the game starts.

I package mods and files together when it makes sense to do so. The M-98 Widow & the Black Widow for example. Or the N7 Defender armor with a helmet for it. But a massive pack with everything might be nice, but ultimately, it may not work too well.

I can explore packing things together if there is enough interest in it. I've downloaded every single mod found on this site. I use most of them as well. The only ones I don't typically use are ones where a lot of artistic license was used, changes the default colors, or whatever too much or mods which would require altering game files to make it work.

I've got .TPF extractor, so I could extract all the files, combine them and see what happens. I'll probably test them in groups at first. Weapons with weapons, armor with armor, character skins will probably go with armor, environments will be in another pack. If that works I suppose I could combine packs and see what happens.

Gah, still can't get these textures to work! I've had no troubles for ME2, but no matter how many times I try the batch file method for ME3, it just doesn't work and I end up having to reinstall the game over and over because the exe is now useless/messed up.

Thank you for the textures and contributions all, I wish I could get em to work.

Anyone who could help me out?

Get it working without the batch file first. Rename the executable to MassEffect3_Bak, then rename textmod.exe to MassEffect3.exe, then run the game from Origin. It should launch Textmod. Then rename MassEffect3.exe to Texmod, and rename MassEffect3_Bak.exe to MassEffect3.exe and run MassEffect3 from the Texmod launcher.

Hey guys, just wanted to thank everyone for their help in trying to get the textures working. Following your instructions Dead Meat, I was able to get it all working. I haven't tried the batch file method yet, but I'm okay with changing the exstention every time I play with textures.

The textures themselves are marvelous, I have 55 working from this thread, and so far, after just playing through the intro, I'm incredibly happy with the result. I love the game even more.

I'll be closely following this thread for future updates, frequently. Thanks Dead Meat, and all who assisted.

:)

Not all systems may be able to handle all the mods at once like that. It does depend on your resolution, levels of anti-aliasing and system configuration.

So, example My native res is 1920x1080, but I lower it in-game to 800x600, exit game, and then try loading the textures with texmod. Would that prevent the "application has stopped working" error that sometimes is caused by system seemingly running out of memory?

Anti-aliasing and other factors come into play. Do you have a 32bit or 64bit OS? The 32bit OS probably has issues given the fact that it can't handle allocating more than 2GB at a time to an application. Mass Effect 3 with mods can exceed this. You can use the /PAE workaround to enable 3GB of application memory but at the cost of memory being available for system processes. Additionally, the /PAE work around does also hurt performance.

64bit Win 7 Ultimate. 8 gigs of RAM aboard, 1 gig in the graphics card. 3ghz processor. I can launch shuttles with this, and it runs smoothly even with those hi-res mods. The only trouble is getting the game to launch, as it sometimes crashes with aforementioned errors. I tried LAA, didn't seem to help. For now I've just ditched the enviro textures and left the characters in.

I'd like to see a female clean arms texture, anyone working on something like that? The new male ones look great, but the females still look like...

If interested, I have completed the HR Texture Mod v1.0 for the M-98 Widow Weapon and is available for downloading on my projects page:  http://social.biowar...t/8206/#details

Below are a couple of screenshots (you can right click on the image for larger view).  Top is of the standard vanilla for comparison with the bottom screenshot of the Hi-Res Texture Mod.

An interesting easter egg with the M-98 Widow, which I didn't know till I started re-texturing, is just below the Model # is the text NCC 1701A which is the hull registry number for the USS Enterprise of Star Trek.

I did a M-98 Widow and a Black Retexture myself. All in the project section.

Also did a new M-77 Paladin. Hard to see the changes in the texture if you don't pay real close attention. Sucks because I replaced almost everything in the original texture. I don't think I have the light map right on it. I'm still trying to figure out how to get some of the other texture layers done correctly.

I know but I'm sure you understand that I wanted to do one for my weapons project.  Besides, additional texture mods is a good thing for gamers, right?

Anyway, talking about textures, I'm looking forward to getting Max Payne 3 for PC tomorrow.  It is my understanding the devs at Rockstar included with the PC version all the hi-res textures hence why 35GB (compared to ME3 around 10GB) and I think it's DX11 capable.  Now that's the way ME3 should have been released for the PC.

Could anyone help me understand why I'm getting "Mass Effect 3™ has stopped responding" when I try ME3 with the textures. It was working fine yesterday, all of a sudden, today it's giving me this constantly.

I've reinstalled a couple of times, and I'm still getting it. Why is this happening? :/

Try disabling Origin in game, if that doesn't work, if you have more than 3GB's of RAM, use Large Address Aware on the Masseffect3.exe.

Also, if you're using the "Soulful Eyes" texture, that specific mod has made me crash all the time. The rest work fine.]
