I use CS5, as well. I've pretty much been using Photoshop for the last ten years or so. Having tried other image editing software, I'd have to say that it's the best out there that's commonly available. The price isn't too bad. You'll definitely get your money's worth from it.

By the way, working on some Javik textures, though I don't have a save with him in the group... hehe. Guess I'll just have to play through. It's a pretty quick mission, if I remember.

Oh, he's another one with a disaster specular map.

Can anyone make a high resolution texture for male Shepard in his underwear? I want to see his skin details!

I have a noob question. Do I have to copy the individual tpf files to the win32 folder or do I just copy the extracted zip folders and texmod would be able read the tpf files fine? Do I have to select and add the tpf files to texmod every time I want to run the game?

You gotta add all your files to TexMod everytime you run the game. It's annoying, but I think it's worth it and it kinda just becomes routine after a while. And yes, just place all your .tpf files in a folder that is anywhere you desire, as long as you can get those files into TexMod.

Oh, you make it sound some what easy. I'm glad it doesn't sound so complicated. So the tpf files themselves have info stored in it that tells the game which textures to replace? I remember the old days where you would have to manually overwrite different textures files in different folders.

Yep, that's correct. As long as you see them loaded into TexMod, it automatically replaces the default texture with the ones you put in TexMod.

Do you know if there's been a high resolution texture mod for Shepard in his underwear? There are "nude" stuff for all the female characters but nothing special for the males. I'm not even looking for a male nude mod but rather a high res shirtless male Shepard mod.

Hello :D

The new Mods are ready, but today I lack the time to share in the Post, Too many files and that combined to create the galleries, takes time. Surely I can do it tomorrow.

Tell ya what. if we could do that, we would-- it would be preferable to the way we have to do it. That's because using this method we're having to load textures that we don't need from moment to moment which requires more VRAM than necessary as well as adversely affecting performance/stability as well as increasing initial load times. Unfortunately, it's the only way found to alter the textures of the ME series.

Is it still worth it doing it this way? You bet it is. Jean-Luc's original stellar work on ME2 characters (
imageshack.us/photo/my-images/830/talicomparison2.jpg/) made that abundantly clear. For sure, Smartek, InbleedingRapture and friends' work on ME3 is welcome.

So...I have a question. Been following this mod but haven't used yet. How would this operate on a GTX 570? I only have about 1.2GBs in VRAM. Do I have enough to run this with comfortable performance?

I run a GTX 570 and I don't have any issues running all the mods.

570 should be perfectly smooth.

I'm using a ATI 5870 which is a fair amount weaker than a 570 and it runs perfectly smooth here.

The "optimized" versions should be just fine. I run two 1Gb 460's in SLI and my performance doesn't drop. As far as I know SLI doesn't take advantage of the second card's VRAM, so I'm essentially only running 1Gb of effective video memory.

The only place you will run into a slow-down is loading the game itself, which is unavoidable with TexMod. Running all the mods, you're looking at maybe 2 minutes or so loading the game.

The first thing i do when i start up my computer is just start up Mass Effect 3 in windowed mode with TexMod. After that I just leave it open and do other stuff, homework, facebook, email, etc. That way i dont need to deal with outrageously long loading times

I see 6 new textures on the front page, seemed like it works now.

Edit: The Cronos Station mediafire link is broken and not loading, re-upload perhaps?

Well the forum is running a little bad, but you should see the new files on the first page.
It took me all afternoon to upload these files, because Imgur is very wrong to upload the images. :pinched:

But everything is ready.

The user TheDarkFalkon , has sent me some excellent textures for M-8 Avenger Weapon. His version is available in "Zona D". Additionally I have used the relief layer for the Avenger version that we already had and it looks much better now. You have two options to choose from.

Well then I grabbed the stuff in the nick of time. Really loving how these textures look and can't wait to see them in game (still working through ME2 with texmod). I may try doing a few myself when the time comes.
