The only mods that get people banned are ones that alter the gameplay mechanics/balance. Graphics mods just make things look prettier. No unfair advantage = no reason to be banned.

GOD! Why????

About 3 hours ago I thought: Why waiting, looks like it will take a while until something Rannoch related will be released.
So I just finished all the Rannoch missions and now I read your post wadres....

Ok, here they are (Dreadnought and Rannoch material textures):

First file - Dreadnought (and Rannoch) material textures, I wanted to add a more "alien" feeling to the atmosphere, that's what they are very very customized. Now the place looks more tech and alien:

Second File - The shadowing in this level is HORRIBLE, very pixelated, so I made a tpf file that contains the softed shadows and lightning maps in HR, (they are only for Geth Dreadnought mission)

You can clearly see the big differences:

The shadows under the cables were the worst part of this level, now the look very soft and nice :)

I will keep working on more textures for Rannoch, cheers!

These look great, I must admit.

Some comparison screenshots would be nice though for future mods as I honestly can't remember what the originals look like (obviously lower res) but I'd like to see the difference so I can judge to see for myself if they are too different from the original for my taste. ^_^

I did, I took some screenshots unmodded and then with your textures and I gotta say, they look really great. Was a little skeptical at first about them taking away from the original look, but these look really fantastic!

The lighting in particular is so much better, well done :lol:

I honestly appreciate the effort, but I'm not a huge fan. It looks like you just took the same metal panel texture and put it on most everything - which while it adds detail, diminishes from the look IMHO.

It is the way the lazy developers made the game, each texture is used for many purposes, you can see the same texture on walls, floors, computers, boxes, windows, everything! I only edited 20 textures and they are very different from each other... I know it looks very repeated but it is not my fault.

Note: This MOD gave a result quite nice because the monitors inside, are used in different places during the game. Also,  I try to keep the original ideas (although the original diagrams did not represent much). I remind you that I'm not an artist in this, only I tried, with some imagination, rebuild the textures in poor condition.

Note: This MOD if it cost me a long time, it was not simple, I would have wanted it to look even better, but there are some textures that there is no way to fix, because the way the game uses them, anyway looks pretty good now. I also want to indicate that the gun I used is the design shared by DieVarieties, I made some modifications in line with the situation. 



I will leave pending some files sent to me two users, due to time constraints I have not included this time, but soon I will add, perhaps with some news from me.:)

Wow Smarteck, amazing!

I'm up to 77 mods right now, 800mb folder, and takes just under 9 minutes to load everything.

Totally worth it ^_^

Great work, can I give you a suggestion though? Can you manage to remove those alphanumeric codes from the Citadel's core textures? It's kinda silly that in the core of a space station millions or billions years old there are codes written in human-like fonts, and it's quite clear that thei're here only because of some last minute recycle of texture. Thank you regardless for listening my nitpicking xD

i think he's referring to the "1M1" and other human type written on the walls in the return to the citadel. there's a pic of it in your album.

The 1M1 is there by default, he didn't add that. I don't see any others besides that.

Some news using the files that sent me the user TheDarkFalkon :

TheDarkFalkon create textures for weapons very clean, really good. Last time shared with us a version for the Avenger, now contributes 2 new weapons, versions for the Mantis M-92 and Predator M-3.

I take the occasion to make some improvements to the version of Mantis M-92 that we already had and I have added layers of lighting and relief of TheDarkFalkon.

Both versions of Mantis are different, choose the one you like. :D
