This seems to be my issue. After testing almost every texture file that I downloaded today, it's clear that none of them are causing the issue. I'm running 2 GTX 460s in SLI but I guess there's a cap. Oh well. I'll just have to be picky.

Maybe the issue could be resolved if we put all the mods into one big file? Or put all character mods in one file and all the weapons in another file and so on.smarteck wrote...

Okay, I've finally been able to play "From Ashes", I will share soon to "Javik" in High resolution in the Post.
With respect to unify the Mods, I've thought a lot, I think the time to do it is not yet indicated, some textures are still room for improvement. On the other hand, has no logical sense, because the amount of memory used will remain the same, but I've been wrong before on this subject, I happened to DDS format, in MBs was heavier, take longer to load, but they are much much more recomended over the format "JPEG".
We hope to complete all the textures and we will see, meanwhile, use only the MODs they actually yo need, and will be able to free up memory.
By the way, I have noticed that RAM consumption is greater than 4GB, I still think it is recommended 6GB or more and as I understand, the total available video memory is not only what is in the Vcard, by mathematical formula according to the amount of system RAM is allocated a portion and adds to the memory of the Vcard, of this sum we get the "Total available graphics memory."
I remind those who have performance problems prefer the files marked "OPTIMIZED 2", they only contain "DDS files", which consume less memory, the rest contain one or more in JPEG, which do not help to save memory .
As an additional aid, the MODs that have been left at the Post as "contributions", I have some (who are in JPEG) and I have converted to DDS, and I saved in Skydrive (link on first page) and I assigned in the name "OPTIMIZED 2". Those you will find in the "Contributions of textures" folder.
And re-coded files, are also all in DDS.

Just for reference to anyone else experiencing problems and would like to know my specs: I'm running with an Intel 2500k with 12GB of RAM and 2 GTX 460s in SLI on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Please keep in mind that I'm not complaining. This forum and these mods are the only reason I'm playing this game again after 3 months. This work is spectacular and everyone involved should be commended. Great work so far. If a texture pack could be created, that would be stellar but if not, keep up the good work!

It depends. On some things 2048x2048 textures would probably be fine. On others 4096x4096 looks a lot better. I found that was the case with both Ashley's armor and the N7 Defender armor.
