soo.. to jump in here. I've done the 4096 max res texture mod in Coalesced.

Still getting glitches where full-sized textures are taking up the whole screen randomly, last time I played it was unplayable (alt-tabing was a temporary solution, and at one point it would glitch as soon as I moved the mouse). Any solution to this or is it a nature of textmod?

running aprox 46 textures,

32GB System Ram
2GB VRam on a 560TI SC
if it matters; 
running 16X CSAA with 4X SS transparency 
8X AF

you can use gibbed's save game editor and activate debugmode on that save (in the plot area), there you should be able to enable underwear.

you can use gibbed's save game editor and activate debugmode on that save (in the plot area), there you should be able to enable underwear.


Thank you for that information. So also would have to include Femshep .. the bad thing is that may be are 4 diferent textures, 2x CustomShep  + 2x DefaultShep .. I'll check later.

I love the menu replacement too. HATED the menu screens in this game. I hope it's possible to replace the ones that pop up between loading in games. That coffee cup is so boring and uninspired. Ugh.


Interesting idea .. if I'm not mistaken that image is dynamic .. maybe it's a video and not a texture. :huh:

yea i have the ones from there but they aren't 4096 or have quite the Smarteck quality u've inspired here in this forum :-)

Thank you .. I know I have not knowledge in graphic art, but I work hard so that everyone is happier with the game. :)

I remember, a user sent me a set of textures for that armors, are not re-textured, but seem to be pretty clean .. if you want, I give you the files and you try and tell me if the quality is good and we added that files to the Post.

What do you say? :huh:

No, I "don't get it". I never said that the default, unmodified version of FXAA is any good, however the default one Nvidia now provides via the control panel is acceptable. However, even the earlier 'crap' versions were able of sharpening fence like textures, whereas MSAA has always had hard time to.

I never said I had any authority over this, you made that up; I am just pointing out facts you can see and verify by yourself with as simple search, however you blindly denying it or actively trying to sidetrack the conversation.

You want to distinguish the shaders from FXAA (on the injector) and I am fine with that. However what I mostly mentioned and I will for the 10th time: FXAA has sharpening powers over fence like models and on-the-move models whereas MSAA does not.

Also, how exactly 80 FPS as a minimum demand under specific conditions makes me a fanboy? I am sorry but anything below 80 FPS seems like it is 'freezing' to me.

In any case I do not understand what you are trying to prove here, especially when talking for something that is undeniable. This is the internet after all, and everyone knows everything, but I refuse to further feed you since sufficient information can be found with simple searches; start by the link I posted regarding SMAA.

All I had to say I already said it and I see no point continuing this conversation, you are either going to further update yourself and return by acknowledging what I am talking about or if you do not do that, you are simply trying to grab some attention. For reasons I do not understand. 

Furthermore, I did not come here to fight about FXAA and MSAA or argue with people I do not know and their technical knowledge is questionable, I was here to get valid and useful information regarding textures and request help with TexMod so maybe I can dodge the hassle of figuring out the issues I am facing myself. And some people were kind enough to provide me with relevant information, and these people were the modders themselves.

So again I refuse to continue an irrelevant to the thread arguement on its 76th page with an internet know-all monster regarding a matter such as this one.

thanks for the file.  It's not very detailed at all and looks almost identical to the original.  Maybe I'll take a look at your tutorial and make this my first attempt at modding.

Wondering if anyone can help me out here, I am having problems loading more than 65 mods. If I load 66 I can sometimes get past the main menu but then the game crashes when I load a saved game. Other times it will crash just before the main screen. Loading 65 is fine and I can load my game and go to different areas with no problems. I have edited the coalesced max texture size to 4096 and used the Large Address Aware program.

1.5GB GTX 580
12GB System RAM

I take it my video card is too low on memory to load more than 65 mods? Also using x4 AA, x4 SGSSAA, x16 AF if it's required. Hope someone can help out other wise I will just tone down the amount of mods I load but I would love to have them all working, of course. Thanks. :)

There aren't 4 different textures as far as I know. Male Shepard (both default and custom) only have ONE underwear body texture. Bioware was lazy and even recycled the same body and texture for Kaiden when he's seen in his underwear during the romance scene.

The females on the other hand have the underwear body but also a nude body (yes, an official nude one from Bioware hidden in the files).

I'm really excited that you're considering to do this texture upgrade. Focus on the male first! hehe.

Make sure you are using all of the Optimized mods and also use the program Large Address Aware to force ME3 to use more than 2G of RAM.  Before I did this, I could barely use 50 mods without crashing, now I'm close to 120 without a single crash and very very rare occurances of lag.

*edit* also, somewhere in this forum, is a link to a Coalesced Editor which you can use to change the default texture preference from 2048 to 4096

I also are with a GTX580 but 8GB of Ram... whit 77 MODs no problem here....

But my AA Settings is x4 Multisampling, 8x Supersampling and x16 AF. Try with that config as first test..

Does anyone know what this error message means with Texmod?

"D'oh" "**** Happens".

It's very vague. Pardon my French, but that's what it said. Most error messages tell you what happened, and how to fix it. I had all my stuff working a couple days ago, but it no longer seems to work. I've disabled AV as well as my Firewall. Even redownloaded all the mods, one by one. No luck.

Best I can tell is it's something to do with Texmod itself.

I tried random ME1 mods, as well as ME2 & ME3 mods. They produced the same message.

Ahh, that's what my problem is! I didn't download the Optimized mods from the contributions folder. Brilliant, I will give that a blast tomorrow then as it's a bit late here! Thanks Emeka Uwazurike and smarteck for pointing that out as I missed the text in the main page. D'oh! :)

I know very few people will like my following contribution especially referring to memory consumption thanks to the new optimized files euphoria, but here I go:

This is a new version of the Reaper Ships, totally fixed, converted to HD (not only texture overlay).

The file is also quite heavy, because it contains the relief maps and the main textures have alpha channels.

I will not make more changes to the files bacause they were very difficult to edit (unless they cause strange glitches or artifacts)
