^hehe, hope you are working on male underwear skin too. The hands look dirty and the neck collar is too shiny compared to the neck.

I was trying to clean the skin in that texture and I had no success .. maybe I try again on another occasion.

Why are you having no success? I'd like to  help you. I'm very good with Photoshop.

With some effort we could get to clean up their arms, but the joints of the skin, and the collar of the neck is something apparently hopeless. :pinched:

//////

Is the mess with the skin textures in the lighting layers?

And yeah, I'm not worred about our mods being the same. Your Nephew does a good job as do you, but I take "less" artistic license than you guys typically do. (Ashley's armor mod being the one exception.) Honestly on the earlier Liara armor we both did there were things I liked better about both versions versus the other.

My main goal really was to create one that matched my Ashley mod, which was also altered to style it more like your Shepard Default N7 armor. I took even less artistic license with that Liara armor, but still left in a couple queues from Ashley and Shepard's default armors. In fact that armor mod is just a recolor of parts of Ashley's armor mod which is the only reason I did it. It was easy. This one I'm doing now is really just fulfilling a request someone made of me probably more than a month ago. Just now got around to finishing it. I found this texture to be fairly difficult to work with overall. Parts like the arms were excessively easy, and other parts like the stomach and back were a nightmare.

Just finished the lighting layer and made some minor adjustments. I even took some screenshots this time. I'll post them up soon.

I think Liara is the only squad member in the game with retextures for all their outfits.

Screenshots have been scaled way down. A bit of a difference at 1024x768 vs. 2560x1600. They don't quite do it justice but you get the idea.

May I make a request for Kaidan's alternate armor pretty please? :D

Also, there seems to be an issue with the Female N7 armor at certain times when the red portion of the N7 logo on her chestplate just blacks out for some reason:

(Image)

I found that it can be corrected by coloring in the problem areas with red. I don't know if that's the best way to go about fixing it - probably not, but it's a temporary solution at least. Anyway, just letting you know. :) Keep up the good work!

I'll check the N7 armor, with respect to Kaidan, no promises.

Fair enough. xD Thanks for considering! These high-res textures have rekindled my drive to play ME3.

Sorry to bother you again, but I'm having troubles. :( I installed a few of the high-res textures with Option 1, but ME3 won't run, just a black screen. I know you said it takes a few minutes to start, but it's a lot longer than a few minutes; It simply quits responding.

Specs:
Corsair XMS3 8gb 1333mhz RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1gb Vram
AMD Phenom II x4 965 stock speed

Think you can help? thanks in advance ;)

Can we also get high res ariake and hahne kedar armor as well? It's a bit embarrassing how bad they look compared to the default HR armor.

All in due time sir.

And I've spent the last little bit on a new version of the N7 Defender armor for ManShep. I was never 100% satisfied with earlier versions. It's a very difficult texture to work with but I've stuck with it and this one will be the best version of it I've done yet. This one should even be better as a .DDS instead of a .TGA file.

Testing now.

Having some issues with the normal maps. Anyone using the NVIDIA plugin for making normal maps in Photoshop? If so what settings are you using with it?

First off, beautiful work. :) I understand how hard to do all these re-texturing into Hi-Res. (I'm doing a similar but with different objective)  I use Liara quite often so I downloaded this. (Thank you for sharing.)

One thing I noticed about files is that if I'm not mistaken, texmod.def indicated a duplicate.
0x87712BB0|MASSEFFECT3.EXE_0x87712BB0.dds
0x4394D753|MASSEFFECT3.EXE_0x4394D753.dds
0x4394D753|MASSEFFECT3.EXE_0x4394D753.dds <-- this

Is this normal? Not sure if Texmod would check duplicate and it or if it would try to load twice. Anyway just reporting.

A bit offtopic... (Appologies)

I recently came across a potential texture replacement application called uMod, not sure if it has been introduced here before. This one still seems under developement but I think it needs support & reporting for further improvement. (Not sure if it works with ME series too.) It's an open source project and the functions are promising.

Universal Modding Engine (uMod)
http://code.google.c...exmod/wiki/uMod

Just thought I post it here because this is where the most Texmod users view.

Yeah, my texmod file had duplicates in it. I made some minor changes to the texture as well and as a result I'm going to go ahead and update that and use a corrected texmod.log file with the right definitions and no duplicates.

So version 1.1 is inbound shortly.

As for uMod I've heard of some stability issues with it. I'm not certain if any of that is true as I've never tried it.

EDIT: Liara from Ashes DLC Armor HR4096 v1.1 (Optimized as usual)
Also: N7 Defender Armor HR4096 v1.3T (Targa based file, nothing optimized about it.)

I'm still working on the N7 Defender, but this is much better than the last version. I've replaced much more of the texture than I did before. What seemed impossible before with my old Photoshop CS is pretty easy with version CS6. I'll still continue to tweak this mod as time permits, but I think it came out pretty good.

I've converted some of the files which had some JPG files in them to DDS, as well as wrapped them in the Texmod TPF file. Optimized TPF files

Hi folks, First off, I just wanted to say that the work you have been doing looks amazing. Now, I'm new to the whole PC gaming front, mostly just stuck with consoles and playing the Mass Effect Trilogy on my 360. Recently however, my PC up and died on me. Fortunately however, it coincided with me coming into enough money to build my own Gaming PC which I am now looking to get the most out of.

So, this may sound like a dumb question, but, Can I use these Mods with a Digital Download Copy of ME3 from the Origin Store or does it have to be a Physical Disc Copy?

You can use it with any version of Mass Effect 3 on the PC. Some of the mods are specific to DLC and Preorder content, but those mods are few and far between.

The N7 Defender armor, Reckoner Knight armor, Chakram Rifle, M-55 Argus, and all N7 weaponry are specific to preorder content. Most of the characters save for Javik have specific collector's edition outfits (1 each) and 1 additional DLC outfit from the "From Ashes DLC" content pack. We generally work on mods that everyone can enjoy first, but items like the N7 Defender armor and Liara's From Ashes DLC armor got done simply because I wanted to do the Defender (As it is my preferred armor in the game) and the Liara from Ashes armor was a specifc request some one made a while back.

Other than that all the mods work on all PC versions of the game. And loading the mods which won't work for you won't actually cause any problems but it eats up system resources and Texmod gets a bit problematic when you've got too many mods loaded. Some like the N7 Defender are large mods and shouldn't be used unless you actually plan on using that armor in game. The Zona C compilation Smartek put out has all the environments except for Rannoch and the Geth Dreadnaught. Wadres however covered that one with an exceptional mod for that.

There are some mods like Liara's Alternate outfit (not the one used in the Shadow Broker DLC from ME2) which have been done more than once. I put one out as did Smartek. There are some styling differences so I'd recommend trying both and seeing which you prefer. Though we've tried to avoid duplication of efforts, preferring to concentrate on getting everything in the game done in order of need. Items which were particularly bad, like the Normandy got more attention. Some of the weapons and outfits for Shepard's squad members still need to be done. Every squad member has at least one high resolution outfit at this point. Liara I think is the only squad member with all four of her outfits retextured.

You'll find most of the mods available on the first page of this thread.

I'd have to check my files to make sure I haven't missed any.

Just a couple more questions folks.

1) When creating the .bat file, do I have to place it in the Win32 folder?
2) Where do I place the Textures once they are extracted from the .rar files?

When I was editing the structural textures, I set aside to Mars, because this does not look so bad (leaving out the rocks that look very little), in addition, the floor and the base objects are in the MOD of the Citadel.

If someone else wants to edit the rocks, is very difficult .. because in the rocks a dark spot appears as you walk .. that spot is more noticeable on rocks than on metals.

Agreed. Mars is actually one of the better parts of the game and virtually everything inside the complex is found elsewhere in the game, which makes it look even better as that stuff is pretty much already done.

Thanks for the help. Man, the screenshots in this topic don't do these Texture Mods justice. You really have to see them in game to truly appreciate them.

Is anyone working on Shepard's combat Fatigues after he's been roughed up by the Reapers initial attack in the opening though. It's odd to go through the intro with his clean Hi-Res Uniform and then the opening stage of gameplay in a Low-Res one.

Well the screenshots are always scaled down by image hosts and compression. As a result they just don't look as good as the on screen product does. For example; I tend to scale my screenshots down from 2560x1600 to 1024x768. A lot of quality is lost in that process.

The issue is that the way Texmod works we can't really do two different versions of the same outfit at the same time as I understand it. You'd have to basically have two separate mods, then save / exit the game and remove the clean one, then substitute the battle worn version and then switch back.
