Hi everybody. I have a problem with these mods. I didn't want to read through all 93 pages so I'm sorry if somebody already answered this.
So, when I loaded all of the mods except the weapons and a few other unnecessary(for me) mods, there were 2 situations:
first, the game couldn't even get to the main menu,
second, when the game told me to press any button to enter the menu then all blackness and crash(this time I loaded less mods)
So I decided to load the really necessary mods for the first parts of the game: It went well till the normandy wanted to leave Earth then the game crashed.(it was with about 35-40 mods).
My config is
windows 7 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Quad 2500 MHz
geforce gtx460 1GB
8gb ram
and I run the game on 1920*1080
I know it is not the best but come on.

Your problem is actually pretty simple to explain. The issue is that you do not have enough memory to support all of the installed mods. You say you have 8gb of ram, but unfortunately you also say you have a 32 bit system. 32 bit only allows a maximum of 2 gb use of ram, even if you have more.

You have two options:

1. Upgrade your processor/motherboard to support 64 bit

or

2. Use less mods, and specifically only use the mods that are going to be noticable in that current playthrough.

Incorrect. 32bit systems can address up to 4GB of RAM. Windows will not allow any one program to use more than 2GB of physical RAM. 2GB is reserved for the system. The amount of RAM shown on some systems may be well less than 4GB, but that is due to I/O device mapping as memory addresses for hardware need to be below a certain address limit, also known as the 4GB boundary. The chipset on some systems can remap these addresses and translate for Windows and allow all 4GB of RAM for use, but most systems which allow for this are new enough to have 64bit Windows installed on them anyway.

And his processor and motherboard are fine for 64bit Windows. All Core 2 Quad's are EM64T compatible.

When I said it only allows 2gb, I was being simplistic for his behalf and understand that 4gb is the true max. Like you said 2gb is reserved regardless, so I was technically speaking the truth.

You have to be specific with people. Otherwise they'll misinterpret what's said, then they spread misinformation. Trust me there are already terribly inaccurate things people believe to be true about computers. Unfortunately for people like me who work in the computer industry, it's a pain in the ass. (My current favorite piece of misinformation is that you can't use a 4GB video card with 32bit Windows or dual 2GB cards as Windows won't have any memory left.)

4GB being the max is the truth. And given that Mass Effect 3 can use 3.5GB of RAM on it's own, he doesn't have enough usable RAM. The 2GB application limit isn't the only problem he has. But if he runs around saying Windows 32bit variants can't support more than 2GB of RAM, he'll be spouting bull****. If he says 32bit Windows can't support / address more than 4GB then he'll be telling the truth.

There is a big difference between those two statements even if they are both technically true. You do not do anyone any favors by dumbing stuff down for them. It is better to take a few minutes and bring their level of knowledge up, rather than hand them a half truth and let them run with it.

Sorry it isn't better news, but 32bit Windows 7 shouldn't be used on any Core 2 and newer system. Ever. Manufacturers like HP, Dell etc. continued to do so far longer than they should have and it is really unfortunate.

It isn't all too bad tbh. I have a 32 bit system, and I just have to pick and choose the mods I need where appropriate. For example, the smartek mod, return to the citadel, is 66,000kb. You'll only ever see this mod in action at the endgame, so just don't use it until then :)

I have to pick and choose my mods too, but only because I don't have enough VRAM available when using all three monitors and anti-aliasing. You'd think 3GB of VRAM would be enough but it isn't. On a single monitor I can load about 90 of them without issues. At present using all three I can only load about 60. So I have a folder for SP core, optional and MP. I always load the core for SP games and then pick and choose from the optional based on where I'm at in the game. MP only gets loaded for that. Though there is overlap. Some of the multiplayer stuff is also loaded in my SP games. Enemies, certain weapons, etc.

Update:

I've started work on the M-37 Falcon and N7 Piranha shotgun.

Hey Smarteck, me again.

Just wondering, what settings did you use for your screenshots with the FXAA tool?

The only setting I'm interested in, is the "sharpen" setting, the rest I don't want to use.

Thank you.

I've got the files, uploading now. I'll have a link in a minute. (And oddly, I just got two more N7 unlocks tonight and another N7 weapon.) I actually unlocked the Destroyer and Demolisher. Looking forward to trying those out. I also unlocked the N7 Tyhpoon. The texture is HORRID. So I'll be working on the Typhoon tomorrow.

you got some great unlocks tonight, Demolisher and Typhoon are probably my favorites of the new DLC. I agree though, the Typhoon is a hideous texture. Glad to hear you'll be re-texturing. Thanks again man.

I'm way behind on my unlocks really. I hadn't been playing multiplayer for the last couple months at all. I played Ressurgence and downloaded the others as they came out, but didn't really start playing again until a week or so after Earth came out. Overall though, I think the DLC has really improved the game quite a bit. I'm really enjoying the MP now.

Anyway here are the N7 Slayer files. The sword is actually a separate texture. I've included that as well.

I agree. The new classes, weapons and Platinum difficulty have breathed some new life into the Multiplayer mode.

OK, just like the Phantom I guess then with the Sword as a seperate file. I wonder if Phantom, Shadow and Slayer share the same map for the sword. This is great though, should be no hold ups the rest of the way for the N7 pack.

EDIT: Phantom, Slayer and Shadow share the same sword texture so at least i only have to do it once. Not that it seems difficult, but still.

I love how they are all reuses of existing models with some new heads. The N7 Destroyer's armor model is the Terminus Armor model from ME2. The Slayer is Kai Leng's outfit with a helmet. What's even worse is that both these textures are as bad or worse than the originals model textures for those earlier items were. Kai Leng's default texture is MUCH better than the texture for the N7 Slayer. The Terminus Armor texture is about as good, maybe better than the N7 Destroyer and it comes from Mass Effect 2!

The N7 Piranha wasn't THAT bad. It obviously benefited from some help but the N7 Typhoon is trash texture wise. The normal map appears to be botched pretty bad on that one too. And I freaking LOVE the Typhoon. So yeah, I'm retexturing that ASAP.

I haven't had any issues with it.

Update:

N7 Typhoon texture is almost done. I should have that one ready tomorrow morning or early afternoon at the latest.
