I just finished my first ME3 play through.

Everyone else who has finished knows where this is going.

I actually did not starting playing ME3 until 11pm on March 6th because I went back into my ME2 file to perfect it, crazy right? but all our choices matter in this game. Atleast they used to.

I'm not upset or angry you've finally kicked my down hard enough that i'm done.

You would have to be a fool to not read between these lines, they are going to sell us the ending of the game. Some DLC at some point in the future will have an alternate "happy" or atleast satisfying ending.

I want some one on the inside to see this, I want them to understand something. I'm not a hateful person and I never will be but I never want to be associated with you ever again (that is EA and bioware). Years ago I almost took my own life, crushed by depression and then I discovered Mass effect, where my voice mattered inside the video game. I'm not saying you helped me out the the dumps, you just made me forget I was there for awhile.

I have hundreds of hours poured into mass effect 1 & 2 all only ever playing the solider class, if you can believe it, and all of it. Ever last bit of it was a waste. Video games in general are a waste of time but this particular story made you feel like you actually needed to accomplish.

I always try to see any matter from multiple perspectives to determine the best solution to a problem and this is what I have come up with.

Bioware/EA you've lost all integrity, you've done some shadying dealing in the past but nothing beyond what is almost expected from any multi-million dollar company nowadays but this is just...you have destroyed my will to even consider a 2nd play through of mass effect 3.

In a real world teetering on the brink of actual total war, actual finanical dperessions and actual chaos you provide entertainment, escape from it all. Now you have brought the harsh cruel realites of the real world not only around but into the very center of the game. When you sell the alternative endings, as I know you will, just please ask yourself this: Do I acutally want to be a part of this system where the audience is no longer the objective but their wallet is?

Thank you for reading this, if you made it this far. I understand that many of the arguments i have presented here are very easily objected, I don't care. I'm not here to argue I'm giving you my take on this tragic fall.

I was so excited to have many more play throughs and multiplayer runs to improve my chances of winning but I don't feel like that will happen.

Once again Bioware/EA thank you, thank you for kicking my with a steel toed boot in the face. Don't worry i'm not getting back up, its not even worth the effort.

I can't even look back on ME 1 and 2 anymore, they just remind me of what I've lost.

Hilariously I had to redo part of an old ME2 file today in order to prep it for ME3, as the file didn't transfer properly into the last game and as much as I hate the endings I still wanted to see how a certain romance played out. It took all my willpower to even bother scanning planets or going on away missions that didn't advance the plot. The experience felt hollow, which is a shame because I was finishing another file up until this Tuesday when the game dropped and I couldn't STOP exploring and doing every little thing. Now it just seems pointless.

I feel the same way.... so very sad. I would have thought that someone at bioware would have said hey, I wonder if these endings will make people want to keep replaying the game? No, they really don't.
