So, all throughout the Mass Effect series i have been true to Liara; romanced her in the first one, didnt cheat in the second one and rekindled the romance in the third one. To be thruthful its not just her but the Asari in general are a very interesting race to me. Anyways, in my opinion the romance was incredible.

The little meetings throughout the game were very calm and i found them to be very emotional.

The scene you have with whoever you romance right beore assulting the Cerberus HQ almost made me cry.
Liaras voice acting in this game was absolutely amazing, in the 'sex' scene when she walks into the room what she says and the tone that she uses was so emotional, along with the song that plays ( which i got in the CE version which i listen to all the time). Her character alone sold the game for me, it was so realistic and touching. I am very interested to see how the DLC or how they progress the game will effect this relationship that i spent 5 years doing.

(It may sound weird that i found this relationship to be so strong but in my defence, it was incredibly realistic)
(realistic being used loosley here)

Tell me what you guys thought about Liara in ME3.

PS. Kudos BioWare, you get 110% just for this relationship.:D

PSS. Im so sad now that this is 'the end' :(:(:(:(

I'm saddened by the ending, as well - I would have preferred a happier one. With little blue children. And peace. And a therapist or two, because wow if any action hero ever needed one...

Anyway.

I was very impressed with how well her character development went - from an awkward, naive, and sheltered newcomer being introduced to the wider world by a more worldly companion in ME1 to a hard-shelled, bristling, and seriously hurting friend in ME2, to finally a relatively mature individual that could keep a sense of wonder about the world while still moving masterfully through it in ME3.

Taken individually, some things aren't perfect - but when you look at the grand scheme of things, you see how well it was written, and how well she grows as a character, it's amazing. It's truly a pleasure to help shape that as Shepard. I'd also like to throw a shout-out to Ali Hillis' masterful voice acting work in the third installment. (Well, pretty much all of the VA work was great. But since this is a Liara thread, I feel it doesn't hurt to be specific.)

Liara romance in ME3 is the best romance subplot I have ever seen in a video game. I'll give them that for sure.

Phydeaux314, you said it perfectly. If this game had the ending which it deserved(i didn't think it was as bad as a lot of people say, after all i mean after all, Shepard deserves a break xD) This could go down in history for best game ever created in the history of the world! Maybe i'm overstating it but this series has been my life for the last 5 years, now that its over i have no idea what to do =(

Back on topic, the VA crew and the composers deserve more awards than any award a film actor has ever won.( The film composers can keep them, Hans Zimmer is the man)

My "main" Shepard romanced Liara from ME1 too, she (that Shepard) loves her to death, literally. If there's one thing that is comforting to me about ME3 is that even though the ending(s) is a great source for depression, at least I know that my Shepard found the love of her life before sacrificing herself. The thing is that Shepard has the Colonist / Ruthless profile, so with some role-play on my part I always thought that in a sense the love she has for Liara is the one thing that she looked for ever since she lost her parents, relatives and friends during the Batarian raid on Mindoir. In other words, that Shepard's very reason to exist was Liara, and since she loved her to death she didn't hesitate to sacrifice herself at the end knowing that possibly Liara might have survived and that the sacrifice will ensure that Reapers will be controlled, and that Thessia will be rebuilt over time.

The problem though... is that all of that I had to force it to my mind thanks to an imposed ending that I had no intention to see come to life for that Shepard specifically. I would have gladly chosen the sacrifice/control ending with another one out of my three Shepards, sure, but not that one... however I had not choice really. So now I'm stuck with that pseudo-made up conclusion that happens to be mildly self-satisfying, but light-years better than just be content with what I see and hear on-screen during the actual ending's play.

they should make a whole DLC, 1600 BW points or 20 bucks or whatever, make it solely about the continuation of Liara and her kids( which is what i took out of that last confrontation on Earth)

EDIT:
Free would be best xD:lol:

Did liaras first, now doing Ashley's. I always preferred Ashley, but after the me3 romances, so far, it seems like im going to be romancing liara instead. I agree it seems like it was the best.

I love Kaidan but Liara is my best friend in Mass Effect. I wanted her to be happy and she's yet another reason why I'm so pissed about the endings.

All that romance with Liara just to die and have the Mass Relays destroyed. If Joker lays a hand on Liara in that jungle I am gonna send him back through the Omega 4 Relay >.>-- oh wait, I can't do that now can I. >.>

Lol dont give joker a chance. If you don't have a high enough rating, everyone on the Normandy dies after crashing on the planet. Did it on my playthrough. Problem solved. :P

Agreed.. Liara is the best character in the game.. I like how mass effect 3 has her almost as not only as a squadmate but an important character that is important to the plot..

Can I just have a polyamorous relationship between Liara, Shep, and Kaidan. Then the asari child can have two awesome dads and a fantastic mom.
