Not wanting to sound offensive but do you people understand how much some people spend on hookers, parties, cars? If he wants to spend 200 bucks on an online game so be it. Sure it's unnecessary, but if you work 9-10 hours a day you compensate your work stress with luxury... at least if you have a normal salary.

The only problem I have with those micro transactions are the *random* packs.

They should simply allow you to buy N7 weapons from a store when you hit a N7 rank of 100. In the singleplayer I don't spend credits on randomly generated gear either... But I understand this casino feature brings more $ to EA. And that's all what counts for them right?

I don't want to be fighting Donald Trump in my games like I potentially do in the real world. EA's Play4Free director might have commented a year or two ago that "Equipment-based Advantages" should be fine in video games, but it's not something I agree with. At that point we should just turn around and dump the whole reason we play these games to begin with.

Interesting point there FreyarS. There's probably some truth to that.

However you won't face Donald Trumps in online games, more like people who try to build on internet fame. Something they don't necessarily find in real life. And people are willing to trade money for the *chance* to receive that. So EA chose a random system... Same reason why games like team fortress are so popular. Sure it's ugly business, but people seem to fall for it.

And I suspect they won't change it for that matter.

If he had no brains he obviously wouldn't have a job either. In the contrary bad jobs often are the cause for people to spend their money on unnecessary things -like online games. You think someone spends 300 bucks on a hooker just because they are so horny? hah. It's the feeling of being accepted/loved whatever.

Poor people in 3th world countries try to compensate in a similiar way. But since they lack internez they just jump on each other and produce an unholy amount of kids.

What I want to say is think of that micro transaction concept as virtual prostitution. EA sure knows why they implented it.

You're telling me you spent 200$ worth of Spectre packs, and clicked on the thing that says "Spectre Pack" 100 times, and you misspell Spectre in your title?

I forgot how wonderful the internet is, telling people how to spend their money and what the whole point of something fun is....

Homeless tend to buy drugs rather than food with their leftover cash. We are not driven by logical decisions, we are driven by emotions... Thats for example why they always play music when we are in some kinda store. Chemical reactions and stuff you know. Its science!

Did you even breathe in between trying to think of all the random crap you could possibly jumble together or does stupidity just come naturally for you?

Wow, it is his money, he can do what he wants to with it.  You must be poor to make such a statement.  Wait, I take that back.  I don't want to be associated with ignorant statements similar to yours.

well the only thing that i dont like when reading this is the TERRIBLE leaderboard system in place. it makes no sense, and its because of people like this that ill never be able to score well regardless to how good i am at the game.

he can spend all the money he wants but even by his own admission he is trying to buy his way to the top of the leaderboards. that is both sad and pathetic and it undermines the leaderboard system.

WIN? No. More like, overflowing with an abundance of FAIL.

The OP, by his own admission, has sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and you deride his grammar? What a sad world we live in.

Little excessive, but whatever floats your boat. I bet I got all that for free and got to play more. I win.

Although I did spend 60 ms pts or whatever on a vet pack since I had like 80 ms pts sitting around doing nothing.

So he spent what $300 (assuming he got the collector edition) in total on the game and people wonder why mmo's are slowly switching to the ftp model :P. People are more willing to pay for micro transactions, instead of adding up how much those transactions costs in total.

Doesn't matter. The fact that he defends his financial stupidity with " I haz kids and wifs, so I buy much cookehz" shows that he realizes how idiotic his decision was, but he's too proud to admit it, so he hides behind a job and a life.

He probably assumes everyone here is unemployed and lives in a basement.

My point is that he fails at life and his grammar is the least of his problems, so why not?. =P

If you aren't trolling, the fact that you spent 200 dollars will make people look directly past how bad your luck is, and instead make them look at how stupid you are.

The only DLC im paying for is stuff related to the single player campaign... The multiplayer DLC is a Money sink put there to make idiots buy random packs and stupid Points like you do on a xbox or ps3.... Issue is parents just let there kids buy all these worthless points and the game companies continue to release garbage cause the MassIdiotEffect is to just buy buy buy.... .. im not spending a dime on the Multiplayer side of this game... its trash.... would have been better to have Human vs Human games like COD or BF3 instead of this Human Vs AI crap..... My jaw dropped when i seen they where charging Real World Money for Multiplayer Weapon Kits.... and it dropped even more when i see people fall for it. GG GL and HF!

if you SERIOUSLY spent $200 on spectre packs, then as far as I'm concerned, you've got more money than sence
