WHY? It takes alot of the fun out of the multiplayer by earning the credits and getting the rewards! A few packs is alright or maybe 20-odd if you're desperate.

I've spent exactly 5 dollars buying MS points just to see the hooplah about Spectre packs. Not bad, I got a Quarian Infiltrator out of it. So the Talimancer in me is supremely happy. But wouldn't it just be easier to play and level your weapons up courtesy of the ingame currency? That way its more of a reward?

"Waste" is in the eye of the beholder.  Did I "waste" $500 this weekend on a nice dinner and a hell of a bar tab?  Some might think so, but I certainly enjoyed myself.  

Frankly?  The insults towards the guy come off more as envy than anything else.

Again, I refer you to the OP's earlier statement. He has sustained a traumatic brain injury. Irrespective of the fact that such injuries are known to affect grammar, spelling, and narrative cohesion (amongst other things), poor grammar is not a capital offence, whoever you are. And those that would insist otherwise, generally contribute the least to a discussion. Sorry, we all have something to say, if allowed to.

While, personally, I would not spend $200 (or even $5) on Spectre Packs, I see no reason why a decision to the contrary should cause such offence. Yes, there are better ways to spend that kind of money, but equally, there are many that are a lot worse. Point is, it's not our call. 

On a final note, the OP mentions that he sustained the TBI in Iraq. On the balance of probabilities, this would suggest a military connection. And you, at your keyboard, decide that he "fails at life". So what exactly have you done recently?

i just want my 8 bucks back i  never thought  this point was going to go all crazy like this i  have callled  ea and sony and  just get the run around  so sorry to offend any one that i spent 200 dollars on a game i like.. to get all the dlc for this game cost about 900 bucks  but all that stuff is just for  pc and xbox not ps3  found that out buying the art book of the game and reading it on the internet  no im not a rich or a stupid man i just know how to save  money   and know how to waste it  if u like something  go do it   spent  more money on the game and now how everything  for mp  why you ask  because  i do it with any game   i play  sorry if i support ea  doing it  but they do it  its your choice to pay it its not mandatory and for me it dosent ruin the game for me i didnt even beat single player but i watched all the video online because i enjoy a good story and a good game  and i very much doubt i could play through to see all 15 or w/e  ending  because a new game will be out next week and ill be playing that.

I really am sorry for your poor luck with the packs.  I would never spend $200 on packs, but I'm not going to bust your balls about it, however, I would like to see you invest in a . (period) key for future posts.

Couldn't agree more. Either you have the spare money or you don't. I’m not defending EA, adding a lottery shop was a greedy and unethical decision to maximize profits. 
 
Besides the same people who laugh here probably have lots of useless expenses themselves. Could be smoking and/or drinking (addicts) expensive girlfriends (i have ****** so buy me stuff) diver watches (because you go diving everyday in your office), sport cars (speed limits be gone ! ), 2000$ Assault rifles (what if the russians attack ?!? )

To be honest, I find you get better things in Veteran packs. In Spectre packs, I'm just getting these Snipers I'll never use. At least with Vet packs, I'm getting more appearance options for my characters, which I've actually been looking for.

This reminds of back when I was in middle school and I'd spent my money on trading card packs to get crappy cards. This is exactly the same thing and of course, something is going to come and replace this sooner or later.
