I love Javik, I was disappointed my own play style didn't have much use for him.

I find his commentary to be interesting on many missions, and his interactions with the crew fascinating and even funny. Yes, he's not the most polite or personable but its just part of his history and personality.

Honestly, his personality makes up for the lack of unique Prothean abilities.  And yeah, I was tired of Liara always talking about Protheans.  Finally a truly blunt, Machiavellian character in game.  Probably my favorite after Garrus.

What? no way. Javik is a badass. I find him to be really interesting and cool looking to be honest. The problem is he and his "mission" were not worth $10.

He starts out as a jerk but he kinda grows on you and softens a tiny bit without completely changing who he is. Not my favorite but he was well done.

I love Javik, as well as the unintentional humor that follows him. The conversation between him and James comes to mind. I thought having a Prothean as a squadmate was a bit cliche, and almost too predictable. But now, I can say that I'm glad he's there and I don't regret spending a little extra to bring him along.

And I was heavily against the day one DLC.

Javik is sweet, even for a dead race that sounds Jamacan, and he feels more fleshed out then Ashley who you would think Bioware would of spent a ton more effort on considering fans have been pounding on the door since ME2 about her. Then again who am I kidding have you seen the ending.

I'll third the sentiment: he's a dick, but I get why and I can sympathize. (And I admit to a bit of schadenfreude over his conversations with Liara.) He's also a pretty powerful squadmate and I was surprised by how much he has to say and how well integrated his dialog is.

That said, I still think it's dead stupid to have a live Prothean running around. That one convo on the Citadel where the hanar recognizes him as an Enkindler is actually the perfect example - the reactions of the crowd to his presence are just completely, utterly inane and far more consistent with, like, meeting the asari councilor in person or something, not the last exemplar of the dead race upon whose work you believed your whole civilization to be built.
