I don't hate him but I hate his guts.

I had hoped that the Prothean would be a little more exotic and not run-of-the-mill humanoids.

I'm wondering to myself if the appreciation of Javik is much more than an appreciation of 'troll' behavior. That's certainly something the BSN seems to have great respect for.

Primitive.

Primitives should be thrown out of the airlock tbh

Pffft.  You and your trollish behavior.

Rather than yell at him, my Shepard would have congratulated Javik on a job well done.

My renegade femshep was annoyed with him for various other reasons:

A very well done character, you can see his frustration and anger. He is indeed an avatar of vengeance for his people, epic scriptwriting on the part of the developers.

He easily has some of my favorite lines from the game. I like that there's a cynical character that's heavily biased and doesn't make any attempts to placate the PC unless he's just paying lip service to get it over with.. He seems to be one of the only characters in the game that actually changes depending on how you interact with him, with three distinct paths for his after-story ending.

Javik is Mass Effect!

I take him everywhere with me, and I've never done that with any other squadmate before.

Hate him? I think he's awesome.

Ok if I were to meet a person with his views in real life I suppose I'd never see eye to eye with them, but in the context of the game.. yeah, he's great.

love Javik. and i loved the interplay between him and liara. at first liara had these stars in her eyes for the idea of a prothean. Javik was just like, whoa, i'm not that guy.

there was even one point where he said something along the lines of..maybe if things had been different, i coulda been that scholar liara so hoped i would be, but things didn't work out like that.

one of my fav moments w/them is when liara demanded that he call her by her Name--instead of "asari". i felt like javik actually respected her more because she stood up for herself and demanded that respect.

it also represented a definitive break from the naive, hero-worship of the protheans that liara had maintained. and, to me, it was really the first time she saw, and accepted, javik as javik. as a ..."person" so to say, that she had no qualms abt standing up to. imo, javik actually appreciated it.

anyway, love javik. he was a great addition to my team.

She should have treated some Shepards with the same disdain.

Javik is the maannn, he's just had it rough but deep deep at his core he's a softy that loves all us primitives. I actually find him really interesting and kind of a sad story. Really wonder what he ultimately decides to do after ME3. As long as he stays away from that memory shard..

I think if you do that paragon interrupt when Liara gets mad at him, and avoid the memory shard, then Javik will write a book with her and generally live a chill life or something.

If you don't paragon interrupt Liara, and Javik avoids the shard, he said he plans on mooching off the hanar. lol

You, Hanar, would you prefer to be broiled, or fired?

Rreally? See, I always do para. interrupt w/Liara, but I also always have him look into the shard. I mean, idk w/the shard thing...I just feel like its better to remember. I understand its painful, but, tbh, I am torn on that...I don't wanna see him do the Awful Deed at the end of ME3.

And I love the idea of him mooching off the Hanar! Lmao! It's hard call for me w/that one.

He's grown on me but I did not like him much at first. He is angry. That is his whole thing. He is pissed off and wants to avenge his people. He's not trying to be a dick but he is depressed as hell. How would you feel if everyone you have ever known and cared for was dead and gone? Everything you have ever known was forgotten? He is not an a hole he is hurting on the inside.

i place Javik squarely right above Kasumi in the like-dislike range, where Kasumi is the definition of indifferent. Javik is a little better than indifferent, and Vega is a little worse.

I like Javik just fine. He's serious enough for me to take him seriously (decent character depth), and he's a major troll at the same time. Love it!
