ending mostly . . . tho i don't "hate" the story (i think it was good), i think it could've been stronger, too much seemed "left" out

The game for me was 35 hours long. 34 Hours and 45 minutes of that game was the best thing I have ever played. The remaining 15 minutes took me three days to come to terms with.

So story was great..ending was pretty...awful

 Just a little confused.

The ending is part of the story. I just hate all the "space magic" crap mostly because it was never needed.

Through ME3 the impression is the Protheans would have won if they had not fallen for the Citadel gambit. In ME1 we stopped that happening. In ME2 we stopped the plan B collector/Reaper. The Reapers are fighting an open war so there was really no need to make them only stoppable by "space magic".

Progressively building on what was in ME1 and ME2 would have made for a better ending.

Exactly. We already had the hints of that weapon on Klendagon. They easily could have built off of it.

I think ME3 is a fantastic game.
The idea behind the ending is fine and the net result of the ending in fine pe se.

the big let down is that the endings are just not well presented and do not integrated the descision and the Normady scene seems really out of place in all endings.

The ending was anything but 'fitting'.

It was a blatant Deus/Diabolus Ex Machina that broke from the established major themes to give a set of choices unrelated to and previous foreshadowing, are all unnecessarily destructive, almost literally destroyed the universe, provides no closure, introduces numerous plot-holes, and breaks from the relatively 'grounded' ME mythos in exchange is existential space-magic.

The last 5-10 minutes were the worst experience in my gaming carree, though this is partially because everything else in the series, even 99% of ME3 leading up to it were so damn good.

It isn't even really in-character. The evil AI master behind the Reapers puts on the face of a kid it killed, and that's enough for Shepard to bow to the "choice" (s)he's offered?

Story was great. Just the ****ed up endings. Uncalled for. Trilogy killer. (Spoilerish:) Plus, it just felt like Shepard gave up on everything and went: "Goddammit, I'm out of options." No. I don't want these endings for my Shepard.

the story and endings are just fine to me, but ME3's storytelling is really fabulous.

Absolutely, positively this. Not expanding upon that bit was a huge waste.

I definitely would've rather the Reapers be defeated by martial might in general. Using a deus ex machina is a cheap tactic - having multiple factors (such as the "Klendagon cannon") come together to facilitate the Reapers' defeat would've made for a more interesting finale - especially if we got to, you know, actually WATCH the space battle unfold and actively participate in it as a tactician to some degree.

I can't believe Bioware managed to screw this up so badly. All they had to do was build upon what was already there like BobSmith said - instead, they threw the baby out with the bathwater and dropped this lazy "space magic" crap on top of us to make up for it.

EPIC fail.

This is exactly what I feel. That's why I can't hate the ending yet not fully embrace it.

Personally, just the end. The rest of the game was great. However as great as it was the end was a kick to the groin that soured the experience :(

The ending is not well executed and it lacks consistency with the rest of the series. The rest of the game is awesome imo.

The story was beautiful I loved it. But the ending is not very good. I thought there would be little clips at the end to show what everyone was doing now that the reapers were gone

Just the ending, and really from the point where you meet the Star God child onward. Up until that moment I was loving every single second of the game.

Overall story was great, but it really started to fall apart from Thessia where suddenly the Prothean VI is talking about some god-like being controlling all the reapers. [At the 4/5 of ME3]

I loved the story but the ending is a little off. I understand the need to finish Shepard's story and establish a base for a future game but it just seems so empty, I didn't really find out what happened to my squad or the people I care about.

Also, I can't make posts in the story forums, any suggestion on who I should contact to find out about that?

The ending was just the super disappointment in a line of huge disappointments. And this line startet when Bioware totally screwed up the story of ME2.

Story: Triple thumbs up! Buy the game! Don't even hesitate!

Ending: Blech. Steel yourself not just for disappointment, but soul-consuming despair.

Ending in my case. Some of the romance subplots got screwed (mainly ME2 characters).

Yeah. Pretty much just the ending. Everything up until that stupid lift into the Catalyst room was fantastic.

The ending subverts the story.
